Up to another week , it will be obvious , males will normally show sooner, little pollen sacks that look like grapes , females a day or two longer and small white hairs

Yes sir that's a fem alrighty ,
Good job on the mesh fit , looks good , untuck the main fan leaves and let them stick through the holes, bending and folding will cause them to scar or die off,
now we just need to see some node growth , then you can bend some branches down and put the lid on , i will stay with th thread so don't panic ,
all is good so far , don't be tempted to add water to the saucer , make sure to use a watering can through the mesh.
 
Just go and do it now, they will be ok but a 5 minute gap in dark will not hurt ?
Why is it in flower ?
No point adding the mesh unless your going to utilize it with more veg growth . . .
Otherwise its nothing more than a stabilizer.

you ask why are they flowering?
i switched to 12/12 just over a week ago as you said it would be ok? as i did not have room if i let the plants grow ie they would be 2/3 times bigger
im guessing i you ment for me to use scgrog if i was going to let them veg longer
