300 hps vs. 250 hps

Yes because you will have 50 extra watts (actually a lot) and you will have two seperate sources of light. One 250W HPS only covers a small area.. Two 150W HPS's have two sources of light and you can spread them out to create a larger area of light. Im not sure how easy it is to get bulbs for 150W HPS bulbs and may i suggest glass enclosed reflectors and air cooling the 150W HPS.. Also Super hPS bulbs and get as many lumans as close as you can to whatever your growing

Yea man you gotta get them better bulbs its worth it... More lumens equals more Smiles.. Look up SUPER HPS bulbs that put out infrared and more blue spectrum.. WOW they are cool but i cant find them in the smaller sizes yet

without looking i think 150s are 16000 lumens, so the 250 would have more lumens in 1 spot and a little better penetration but i dont think it would out way the spread you could get from the 2 150s. I would go with a lower lumen spread more than a higher lumen in 1 spot. 42w cfls are inly like 2600 lumens or something and those can frow nice sized dense buds, so i would focus more on coverage than intensity.

with that type of light also let me suggest some side lighting. I would go with atleast two 2500K 68W CFL's during flowering and maybe a UVB10.0 bulb if your feeling good about it. You can get these lights down next to the plants instead of on top and let it do work from there.. once again more lumens = more smiles
