Just a few small updates/observations/weights.
First, whoever says CFLs can't make decent sized buds is crazy. Check out the first picture. That buds is so huge and it feels dense as well. Smells so fruity, can't wait to smoke her. The lighter is directly to the side of the bud, not behind or in front of it. The bud is about the size of a coke can, but I didn't have one handy (not a soda drinker!).
Now, I harvest all of the first plant about a week and a half ago. After drying, the first plant ended up producing just over an ounce, at 29 grams. Not too shabby. I'll post a picture in a little bit, but it filled up 1/3 of the largest mason jar from WalMart (the ones that look about half a gallon with the old fashions metal hinge seals). It was pretty fluffy, though, which dissapointed me at first. Then I considered that I got over an ounce from a single plant using CFLs in a closet. Then I felt a lot better.
The smoke from the weed at about 1.5 weeks cured was ASTOUNDING. I haven't been as high as I was from this weed since when I first started smoking about half a year ago. It was a fantastic head high with just a bit of body buzzzzzzzzing throughout. I didn't get hungry for at least 2 hours (verrrry delayed) and never got sleepy. Me and my friend both agreed that you don't really realize you've come down until you're nearly normal feeling again. It lasts a solid 2 hours, but my friend said it kept her high for longer.
The rest of it (probably about 15 grams--we've smoked a lot the past week) is in a jar curing right now. Been curing for 4 days, chopped for 8. I have an awesome drying box and it got the buds crispy on the outside but kept them a bit moist on the inside for a nice cure. Stems were semi-snappy. Hay smell set in quick, after about a day in the jar. It goes away very quick too, though. It lasted for about 6 days with an ounce of this week, so not terrible at all. The smell has really come out now.
Still waiting on 3 plants to finish up. The massive girl in photo 1 will be done in about a week or two, so she'll be next. The other plant still has 100% white hairs with very little frost, but the buds are pretty good sized. They're all bagseed though, so no surprise there.
