well tonight is their second night in the darkness. i will take some pics tomorrow to show their progress.

in the res:
cal/mag
bud candy
sensi grow a and b(a very small amount)
sensi bloom a and b(1/3 dosage)
liquid karma

i cant remember the exact measurments, but the ppm's are at 710 and the pH fluctuates from 5.5-6.0..I'm trying to stabalize it between 5.0-5.5, but it is being a bitch.

i think my tri meter might be fucked...when the lights went off last the ppms were like 770. when i woke up they were up to 2000! wtf! I calibrated all my tools and the shit is still high..

why the hell would it do that..and should i flush the res.

First off, what brand meter do you have. I am running an AF 20 with a Hanna trimeter and i have seen my meter go off the chart when i check them in the morning due to ph issues. For my system, when the ph seems to be out of the 5.7-6.3 range an increase in salt occurs from nutrient lockout which then increases the overall ppm. That along with the fact that water is being absorbed by the plants which lowers the res levels and causes a higher concentration of plant matter and salts. I would suggest that you monitor your ph religiously and use a liquid ph adjuster if you are not already. Also you will need to change you res water and another grower suggested using florakleen every 3-4 weeks. During flowering after the initial kleen wait until about a week before harvest to flush and use the kleen again. if you haven't already to safely clean your unit of nutrient and plant matter so that you will lower your chances of any problems during the later weeks of flowering. Also have you considered using different nutrients/supplemental nutrients? Lastly i would lower your tubes as low as possible and then even some more once the roots have started to show. You will also want to angle the laserline at a 30 degree angle and that will do unbelievable things.

i think the jump in pH had to do with poor circulation in the tent, and it created mad condensation..I removed 10gal from the res and replaced with 10gal of fresh r/o water.

I have the tubes as low as possible, and the laser line is bubbling the water at the bottom of the tube. im gonna flush the res again in 2 days, and add a stronger bloom mix to the res.

I have this bioclean stuff that i will clean the machine with after harvest.

what's everyones take on hydrogen peroxide?? I have some 35% stuff. or is there a product that i can add while the plants are still growing?

Dont wanna hurt my babies!!

I have heard mixed things about h202 and have not used it myself. Although, at my local hydro store, the guy their swears that the horticultural grade h202 does wonders so you might want to check that out. I am not sure the exact name of the stuff, but i am sure that someone on here has used it before.

well i was outta town for two days, and it seems my pump broke..came home and half of the plants were droppin. luckily my buddy had an extra one laying around at midnight, and i was able to do the ol switcheroo. changed the res, dropped the ppms to 650. they came back...it was a close one!

check the water you are using...my tap water has a ppm of 550-650! so i stopped using that crap and i use r/o water that you can buy at the water machines. i found out that using 1/3 of the recommended nute solution is more than enough
