Just FYI, I typically leave my clones in the propegator with the lid on (vents open) for up to 12 days... usually until I can see roots out the bottom of the rockwool, then I place the whole thing, rw and all into the pot and fill it up with my coco mix. I have about 8 in there now that I have NO idea what I'm gonna do with... the grow tub if FULL FULL FULL...

Also, if you are just wanting to reduce height without giving up any of your top buds, you can always supercrop... that tends to be my method of height control. I supercrop the tops and clone the bottoms.... LOL

unfortunately blue my propegator consists of a 36 spot tall jiffy tomato starter. no vents. this whole dome is in my 2by cab. i guess ill be lifting the lid and breathing into it 2 times a day. see if that helps. i think today i am going to go to the hydro store and check some stuff out.

so how exactly does one supercrop gram?

get a piece of mesh cloth and cut a hole in the lid of the propogator then tape the mesh to the hole and presto breathability :)

geeez RIU is going slow tonight, probably system shutdown again soon.......

i think the cutout cloth is a great idea. mine are even more simple. i just pop the side of my gladwrap open, and they breath enough

Hey hun... first of all, the real propegator lid costs about $3.50 at my local grow store. I really recommend it. Makes everything work just right. And supercropping is FUN, and a little challenging, but rewarding...

If you have a plant with one or two really tall stems or if you just want to shape your plant, you are going to bend the stem almost to the point of breaking. It's a bit of an artform, and mistakes often become clones... LOL. Here's what you do.

Grasp the stem about where you want to create a bend. I use my thumb and forefinger and "pinch" until I feel the fibers in the stem crush...not break, but crush. Then right at that point where you crushed the stem without breaking the exterior "skin", you bend the stem almost in half. Within a couple of hours, the top with start to turn toward the light, and the next node down will also now become a top. The stem will grow a knot and be very strong where you crushed it.

Here's a newly super-cropped stem...

And here's one that I bent a few days ago. See how the stem is starting to swell? That is the healing process that makes it much stronger than the original stem.

Here's a plant that I supercropped several branches to keep her a uniform height. She had a few branches that shot up way taller than the rest of the plant, so I "adjusted" her.

allright. just got home from a fishing trip up north with my dad and grandfather. caught 3 brookies and 1 salmon. fucking awesome. only trouble is they dont smoke lol so wandering off into the woods for a few minutes and then being paranoid for an hour was the name of the game. kind of fun. lol. anyways...

all my ladies are doing awesome! i need to water all them, and my mother is REAL hungry/thirsty. but everyone is doing well. i BELIEVE my clones are actually showing new growth. which is weird cause it seemed like NONE of them would root. who knows lol.

kind of a bummer this site sucks so much on the safety front. but i guess thats just what happens with a site like this. oh well.

im here as well, this site seems to have slowed down quite a bit, i think the admins of the site are getting tired of the upkeep or just doing a 1/2 assed job. either way they are losing alot of memebers

im subbed to like 50-60 threads and when i check usually 2 have been updated opposed to the normal 15 or so that it used to be, if that says anything

yeah super lame. i have been wicked busy, but i dont really feel like putting in the effort to research another site. i LIKE this one. except that it SUCKS. lol.

plants are doing...TOO well. lol. i fed them some fox farm right before i left last weekend for a memorial day camping trip. if yalls remember, i was basically flushing them by giving them just water for 2 weeks or so. fed them fox farm, went away for the weekend, and growth EXPLODED! it is crazy really...they need water but NOW i have another dilemma.

i will be moving in 3 weeks. for sure this time. not buying a house, that fell through, but this is a definite. the wife got a job offer...

so one plant will definitely be ready to chop by then, maybe 2. the debate is as follows; do i chop down everything early and save stuff as chaff for edibles or do i try and transport plants? that just SOUNDS sketchy. i mean i have aquariums that i have to move too, and my garden totes. so there is sufficient reason to do a fragile/careful/illegal transport first before moving the rest of the stuff in the house...but idk

what yalls think?

How far are you going to be traveling? I've personally transported large mature plants many times without issue but it's definitely nerve racking and I live in CA which is lax as fuck. How far off are they from being done? And congrats on the explosive growth!
