Man I wouldnt pay $37 a gram for any herb. Me and my friends make our own honey oil and its as so clear it looks like its real honey. We do these hits we call sugar bombs and its a drop of honey on a pin dipped in pure trichromes from a crystal catcher, then we smoke it off a hot blade with a hooter. It will make a rookie go straight to sleep and all you need is 1, its no where near $37 a gram. I also think that Bubble hash is some of the most potent shit you can smoke. I have pics of both some oil and some bubble hash.

I hate threads like this. It makes me insane not being able to soak my bud in honey oil then roll it in kief then sprinkle hash chunks on it and vape it. I'd pass out and die. But I'd die happy.

if it really is .8 of top shelf plus .6 of honey oil the price is pretty close to what i would expect. i'm in the northeast and honey oil is much harder to come by around here than a cali dispensary and when it comes around it's about 40 a gram, and top shelf bud averages 20/gram here from most hoodrats. so sounds like a nice treat to me. however it sounds like a mess to work with and smoke. i think i would rather buy the bud and oil separately, but still nice to be able to waltz into someplace and just buy it.

you realize that 1 gram of that shit isn't worth 37 dollars or 50 dollars or whatever no matter how good the kief or hash is, if you do it by weight that shit is probaly worth more like 20 dollars a gram....

Depends what they make the oil with. The sexy oils and stable budders I get are made from frosty top shelf nugs. Very much $40-60 a gram as they're about an eighth per gram of budder.
My oil I make with shake or mid grade, still amazing and stable (just not sexy or budder), averages out to about $8-15 a gram.
If I made budder out of a quarter of Top Shelf bought from a respected clinic, mine would be $45 a gram. If I made it from my outdoor top shelf norcal connect, it would be $18 a gram.
The prices make sense as long as the clinic you buy it from, you can vouch for how they make quality product. If the CLINIC makes the oil, they're marking up the price to probably the cost of an eighth per gram, which is lame considering the price they buy produc for is much cheaper than what they sell (obviously)... but that's business.
Different places different prices.

Being it "worthwhile" is all up to the customer. I can take a gram of OG budder as long as an eighth with my vapor globe... so every now and then, when I don't make some, I'll buy some BOMB budder.
When you try a stable budder made out of completely trichome covered OG nugs, and then try some honey oil made out of trim. You'll know the difference. Even then, if someone makes budder from $50/ eighth nugs... they're going to sell it for at least the amount they spent, if not more. Find me a dealer that sells stuff for less than he buys it and I'll eat my own dick.
And the only reason people make oil out of such expensive nugs is because of more yield and better quality/ purity.
Sidenote: this is all from a non grower/ farmer standpoint. If I had bushes of weed in the back, I'd be on the same boat with you on the bullshit price. But unfortunately... we work with what we have. What we have is $50 eighths... so what we make is $50 grams. Plus this is Cali...

But, like you said, sometimes you just gotta buy it to see what it's all about. And if you liked it and feel it was worth it, then you really didn't go wrong. If you feel it's money well spent, then it was.
