hi guy's, the afghan is doing great when i looked in just before lights out. i took measurements of it and its 1&3/4" high and 4&1/2" wide. i'll post pics tomorrow when i get up and find my camera. the third set of leaves are coming along well now as the pics will show. i have started feeding with formulex at 1/4 strength = 1/2ml / litre. keep watching this space.

here is the afghan @ 19 days old, take a look at the lower branches starting to form. its about 3" high now and almost 7" wide. the stem is getting alot thicker also ( you can see where the bark is splitting for new growth in the second pic ). to me it looks more indica with the short fat leaves. from the same batch of seeds my mate is growing the same and his is more satvia with the long thin leaves.

my baby is now 3 weeks old, it has 6 nodes all very tight and height is approx 3". the top nodes have 7 leaves each now. the bottom nodes have branches which are 3/4" long and have 3 leaves on each. i will post more pics in the new year. have a good new year everyone.

here are more pics of the afghan x bigbud, i had a problem the other day and the plant started to wilt abit. i thought it was overwatered so i let it dry out for a few days before watering again, it made no difference. i gave it some nutes yesterday and it has perked up today thankfully. so i think it was just a lack of food that caused the problem. the third pic shows what it was like 2 days ago so you can see its recovering now.

i forgot to mention i repotted the plants too, they are now in 1 gallon pots. when i took them out of the 6" pots the roots were wrapped round everywhere so that couldave been a factor too.

from what I have seen...they will do that in almost any size pot....it is their instinctive nature...and it should not be a concern....Skunk grew with similar success in pots ranging all the way down to 500ml.....yea...500ml pots and retained the same above ground production.....amazing plants they are!

im thinking about trying to transplant my G13 into a 20 litre bubbler next week lol, just to see how well it does compared to the afghan in soil. the g13 is a week behind so it will be interesting to see what happens.
