Thanks. Hell yeah they are they smell like they are going to be some bank too, best buds I have grown. I am hoping THC will be in the high teens or 20's. I can get it tested locally if I want to, need to talk to my imaginary grow buddy D about the testing though.

I have a question about your side lighting......I've got a 4' four-bulb T5HO blazing my lower branches the entire time of 12/12 and to be honest, I don't see any improved bud-growth for the lower section of my plants (they are under a 400w HPS). While your colas look great....how's it look at the bottom half of your plants? I have popcorn buds going on, and as I head into the 8th week of flowering, I don't suspect they'll get any bigger.

no not really........... i dont feel i need to prove myself to you.......
And yet you mouth off like a stuck up 'hood-rat, bashing the guy all through the thread. Why on earth would you not just politely speak your piece and then move on? I'm guessing you've nothing better to do with your time than troll these threads looking for someone to put down because it's the only way you're going to feel good about yourself. Go grow something for godsake.

Forums are supposed to be about sharing information with like-minded people. You're not one. You don't LIKE people. And you don't HAVE to; this is America. But at least be civil in your comments even if you can't bring yourself to be constructive.

I enjoy reading about others' grows and can usually find something constructive to say or a good idea to steal (if I do it means you dun good!) and I think this guy has done well. He's got a smaller set up and has tried to figure out good ways to maximize his space, constantly finding better solutions to the same problems we all face in stealth grows. The T5's on the door are a great idea, too. Some things will only be learned with experience and we're all in the same boat on that one; it's human nature.

And woody333333, No, I'm not going to show any pictures or expound on my experience. Since you've so much time on your hands you can go find it and rip it because you've nothing better to do with that time. (Have you considered masturbation? It DOES keep at least one hand busy! Or you could go get a job. My lawn needs cutting and your ultra-sharp wit should do well to get the grass down to an inch, like your penis.)

Have a GREAT day! :)

Subscribing to this thread, intenseneal, it's been an awesome read.

I'm getting ready for my first grow myself, and was pretty committed to a 600watt MH/HPs system, but I am worried about heat as we move into summer. Seeing what you've been able to do with T5s and CFL has made me rethink the choice a bit.

Which sucks, cause goddamn it there's so much to think about already! Lol.

Good luck with the rest of your grow, I'll be reading with interest.

Yeah lower buds will always be smaller than the main tops. The T5 side lighting does help though. Lower buds are larger than my last grow with no side lighting.

I'm working a ScroG and just my 2c, but my plants still seem quite happy and vibrant after I trimmed a lot of foliage under the screen/canopy. There were a few dead/old leaves just down at the bottom of the stems anyway, but I figure there's little to no light penetration below the screen anymore so most of this will start to whither anyway. Better in my mind to remove it now and let the girls focus on what's above the screen where the LIGHT is. There's nothing I can do to convince them to quit focusing down there, though. They still grow the occasional shoot with a bud site and if it gets tall enough before I notice it, I'll find a cell in the screen for it. If not I trim it. :)

Yea cut off all that lower growth that does not get good lighting. The plant will send the energy to the tops instead of those little lower buds. I was bad about that this grow and I know it. I did trim off some but not as much as I should have. I also normally trim off a good amount of the fan leafs but this time I did not. I need to get in there and do one last trimming. The plants at the rear get the least of the trimming for sure because I dont like to pull all my plants out, but it is a must.

Yeah my "back girls" don't get quite the attention that the fronts do. I have to make a conscious effort to raise the lights, get in there and weave, prune and trim. Since I'm using a screen I don't get to move mine around and I'm always a little scared I'll "miss" when pruning something in the back and take down a good bud site. So I make myself do just a few per sitting and no more.

Buds are looking good! Next time maybe stick a lighter by them for a good size reference.

I did a trimming today the last one these plants will get before harvest in about a week week and a half. Turns out what I and D thought at first was a Gods Gift was an Agent Orange from one of the clones I gave him from my last grow. I thought it was weird that it had an orange smell with the genetics of that strain. Wow what a difference this Agent Orange has from my last one. It is getting flushed now and pulled in a few days because yet again it herm'd a little, saw a few seeds but that is ok I probably let it go too long. Plus if the seeds are goo I can grow that strain again. I was unhappy with it last grow but this time it looks great. Here are some pics taken today after I trimmed. Any burnt leaves are from being too close to the lights. Nugs are super dense. The Kings Kush has really tall buds, taller than my hand.

Simple biology 101. If you fertilize a seed with XX chromosomes you get all XX babies to have any males you need a Y chromosome. Hermi plants are genetically more likely to herm and I know that. Thats is why I did not want any more Agent Orange strain or at least that genetic of it. Last grow I made clones and gave some to a few people and there was a few Agent Orange clones included in there. D wanted some and He had good results with it but they herm'd on him as well at the end of flower, it just seems to be this phenom's MO. He made some clones as well and I just so happened to end up with one. I really dont care too much it turned out looking really good and a few seeds in that plant is fine with me.
