3x3 tent 9 CXB3590 3500k @1400mA? Is this possible?

I am already running a 9 CXB3500 light @1050mA in a 3x3 tent, was wondering if it would be worth bumping that same light up to 1400mA? Would that be too much? I know my WPE will drop down to roughly 56%, but the extra output would more then offset that would it not? I am running a scrog, so i have the height room, i also have the cooling capacity. Would this give me the appropriate yield increase given the extra watts consumed? Or am i asking for trouble with the 3x3 light configuration, with a big hot spot in the middle?

If this is a good thing to do, would the same be true of 4x4 tent running 16 CXBs @1400mA, 4x4 pattern? Planning on switching over to 4x8 tents when i move.

I use a dimmer, so I would gradually bring up the lights when moving the plants into flower tents. Also, if that hot spot in the center is that big of an issue, I could just run three drivers to the light, and keep the center one on its own driver. Then I could either run three 1400mA drivers, with two dimmers, or two 1400mA drives, and one 1050mA driver with two dimmers.

For the 4x4 tent, I could run the 4 inner CXB's on its own driver/pot, and/or it can be a 1050mA driver as well. But the overall objective is pack as much usable light into my given areas, without going overboard, and causing harm. I am open to any configuration that might achieve that, so please, if you see a better way, let me know.

1400ma should be fine. I designed a 8 cob fixture for a 3x3 with a c1400b. Works great

Lets run the numbers and we shall see.

9 COBS in a 3 x 3 ( 9 SQ/f) at 1.05A = 984 PPFD and 330 COB Watts.
Same setup with 1.4A = 1232 PPFD and 440 COB Watts.

Your already over the ideal PPFD of 900 and upping to 1.4 is diminishing returns.
I would say stay with the same setup. If anything get larger tents.

your yield should be perfectly fine at that PPFD.

Im running a 3 x 3 with 6 COBS at 2.1A ( vero 29) with 966PPFD and it will be a killer grow.
Anything over 900 PPFD is diishing returns for the money. There is a graph somewhere on this forum by Rahz.
I personally dont think its worth up. If anything larger tent would be a better upgrade.
