4 1000w HPS? Think it'll work?

So the room is like 11 ft long by 8 ft wide and like 8 or 9 ft. high. I'm thinking 4 1000w hps w/ the umbrella wing if I can afford it. any suggestions on a good price? I'm thinking 24 plants in rows of 6 or 8.

Am I good? any tips, or comments are really appreciated. This will be my first attempt at selecting the right lighting enviorenment for the room.

You have the same dimensions for your flower room as I'm building. Have you thought about running just 2 1000watters and a light mover with an expansion rail? Looked into it myself, for $300 you could be using half the electricity, with the benefit of only having 2 bulbs to replace, and less to cool.

Just a thought.

I would do 3 1000 watt lights ......movers or not movers doesnt really make a differnce the most important is that u have room to work in and space to place things like carbon filters, fans aircons. ect....

more light doesnt neccesialry mean more yeild as u may also come acroos heat problems with 4 lights in that small of a space... either way good growing :

That room is under 100sqft. In that space you can do about 12 big healthy plants. I'm copying what a few of my friends have been doing for about 3 years. 4x8 tray with Rockwool and 75gal res. 2x1000w HPS air cooled. You could do 3x600 but now you have to buy another ballast, light hood etc...

Anyway, your room is just like theirs. 12 big plants and they always hit 3+ P's every 90 or so days.



Edit: you don't have to do rockwool. But in that space I'm thinking max 15 plants unless you do a stadium. You'll need some a/c for sure with 1800 or 2000w.

does anyone know what the difference in cost on your utilities bill is going to be from a 600w hps to a 1000w? IMHO I don't care much about how expensive an extra light system would be if I save myself 75 bucks a month for as long as I grow indoors w/ those ballasts... right?

The price to buy both is similar and the price on electricity is similar.

Sounds like a sick room. Hang those 1000ws vertically and do it like heath robinsons critical mass tree grow, or go something like PotPatriots Vertical White Widow Hempy Tree Grow.
