Ok so these bagseeds sprouted on 4/20 and now their are having a bit of trouble.

Lighting: 6 26w daylight cfl's (6500)
2 23w softwhite cfl's (2700)

Soil: Jiffy seed starter mix (organic, no nutes)
Container: Red solo cups
Temp: 65-75
Light schedule: 20/4
Watering schedule: 2-3 times a week

The first pic was a pic of the first plant on 5/2, so you can compare the growth since then.

ONE PLANT SEEMS ALL MUTATED, THE OTHER BARELY ANY GROWTH AND DROOPY SHORT LEAVES. WHAT IS WRONG? +rep for good answers.

both bag seeds came from the same bag if that makes a diff.

Sorry for the bad quality pics.

The dropping one looks like over watering/root rot, I purposely killed a seedling I wasn't going to raise by over watering it and that's totally what it looked like.

as for the browning on the tips, mine did that too new growth seems to be fine on mine, the old browning leaves eventually shriveled up and fell off mine and then the stem became strong. The oldest leaves on both my adults still have those brown spots on the tips of the oldest blades.

Thanks man, i really haven't over watered too much...i even let him dry out for 4 days and still nothing, so i went back to regular watering. I'll let you know how it goes, anyone else have any input?

What is 'regular watering' to you?

At this stage watering every 3-4 days should be plenty

do you have holes in hte bottom of your cups for drainage?

yah i have holes in all the bottoms. watering every 2-3 days, the cfls/fan seem to dry the soil pretty quick.

try transplanting them. theres a good chance considering they are almost a month old they should have more dirt thats a good chance why they are dwarfed
