4 Auto FEM Northern Lights - 2 Aerogardens w/Aerogarden Hood & 120W LED Quad Band.

ill be checkin this grow out. think ur roots are going to quickly outgrow the aerogarden tho.
i have 90w led for veg, and 300w led + t5 fixtures for flower.
im runnin a mini aeroponic system for veg, 3 gal res & 2 gal top spraying tank. the roots after 2 weeks have already reached the bottom and are starting to fill out to where its hard to lift them out of the res.

I hear ya! My last run in the AG had 3 ladies in there. When I switched to flowering (about 1/2 Months after vegging), I lost one that went Male (it was a freebee from nirvana); the other 2 were female. I had room to add 1/4 gallon of water at a time. The rest of the res was FULL of roots!
As long as you keep ontop of "topping' off the res on a daily basis, no worries!

I've asked around in the past regarding the root growth of auto's. Due to their aggressive flowering period, can I expect a larger mass of roots from an Auto vs standards? Or perhaps less Root growth being they don't veg a long...

This grow is somewhat of a test for me to ascertain what the outcome will be re: Autos. (I will at some point run 2 FULL Aerogardens with LowRiders (for a total of 13 Lowriders, 7 in each one, 6 in the other.. ) :)

Do you think separating the roots would make that much more of a difference or do you think the nutes will find their way to the roots/vice versa?

There is no need to separate the roots unless you are planning on migrating to Soil. ( In which case it's good to keep them separate)

i heard the nirvana auto's arent really autos, but im subscribed to see :) .. they really do need to change the description tho, that shit is just plain lazy, their auto strains have the same exact description as their non auto strains that raises a flag for me right there what kinda shit is that.. forgot where i seen the thread but it was on here somewhere and it was the NL-Auto that wasnt autoing

Yeah, Sadly; I've heard the same thing. I'm hoping that they do flower on their own as described as I won't be able to grow these out in time; getting married in Oct and will be gone the whole month. Figured I could have another run if they were Auto's.... Keeping my Fingers Crossed!!

The 4 girls are doing fantastic! I've continued to just "Top Off" my 2 AeroGarden Reservoir's with a conservative addition of Nutrients. I am now feeding both the NL's and the one BubbaL the same mixture. 1/2 Tsp per gallon of Distilled Water from my local Grocery store.

Light schedule is 20/4
1x 120 Watt Quad band LED

Seems that the Bubblicious is more susceptible to over feeding then the Northern Lights. I'll continue with the 1/2 TSP per Gallon for the NL. For the Bubba, I'll drop back down to 1/4

Here's a pic of the Bubblicious. Very slight nute burn, but she's ok! :)

So, roughly how many weeks into the grow will you know if the plants are M's or F's?

I expect around the 4th-5th week. These are the first Auto's that I've grown, so I'm basing it on journals/logs I've read.
One thing I am un-certain of is when I should switch to Bloom nutes. Perhaps the manner in which these plants (Auto's) are fed determines their ability to quickly flower or slowly flower.
It's about 30/70 at this point based on what I've read on this and other forums. I expect it's due to the Growing medium and type of nutrients you feed them.

I think I will go 1 more week with the Veg nutes before I move over into 1/4 strength Flowering Nute per gallon of distilled water.

It's a big learning process.

Yea it seems like it! I haven't ever grown before and have only been on this site for a few weeks. So I am definitely seeing that what I need to learn is pretty vast, but it's all good bc Im on a mission for my own weed!

I seem to have a bit of a heat issue; which I am sure I can take care of. You'll see in the pics below the concave shape to the leaves and the augmented ridges. Should be ok by tomorrow. It was 80 in my home when I got in from the office, forgot to set the temp before I left.

Have you started adding nutes? I think I see the beginning of a deficiency. Looking good though. 80 degrees should be an ok temp. You would have heat issues around 90-100

My Northern Lights autos have concaved leaves too, Im under a 600watt HPS but heat is not an issue with my Vortex inline (stays around 76 with the light on).I suspect something to do with the ruderalis genes.

Could be wrong though.

You really think such an advanced strain would still show signs of a lower ruderalis gene? You wouldnt think so but genetics have a weird way about them

Yeah, I'm still trying to gauge how best to feed them. I "was" feeding them light as of late as I was worried I was going to over feed.. But, I'm taking a chance and increased the amount of nutrients I feed them.
