4 footer in the closet

Hey guys.
I got this bit of a problem/issue with a girl from my first grow whose about 23 days into flowering now and just starting budding about week or so back. Basically shes growing faster then I have room in my closet, about 4ft 4in now and I dont have space for her to grow taller.
Anyway
I was wondering if anyone knew how far into flowering before a plants growth begins to stunt

depends on the genetics. some never do. you can always tie down or supercrop but sc'n might put you back a week. good luck

My current sativa (bagseed so unknows strain) stopped growing up at the 3 week into flower mode. Now it's filling in.

i sure hope you don't have one of those sativas from Laos that grow 30 feet. I've heard most indicas grow their top bud to about 4 feet. i would try to make the closet bigger by sawing a big hole in the bottom so your plant sits on the floor. that would add like 4 inches

LST - its your best hope other than cutting a hole in your floor as previously suggested.

IMHO 3+ weeks into flower is too late for topping or FIM.
I suggested LST (a technique I use extensively) simply for the LS part of the equation as you don't want to be cutting off the ends of buds.

Stretch should be over at 3 weeks. I tie mine over with garden wire. Just be careful and slowly do it to avoid a break. I make a loop around the main stem a few inches from top and pull the wire down till the tip is horizontal and tie the other end of the wire into a hole in the pot. Mine come with holes around the lip or rim of the pot, so real easy.

If it feels like it might break the stem, do not go further, at least for a day or more in the future. Breaks can be mended with tape, unless the stem breaks clean off.

Thx for all the responses,
I decided to just use some string and tie my girl down as much as possible,
but now shes sticking out of the closet when I open the door.
For now I might be good, but If her main stalk grows 7 or more inches taller idk what im gonna do.
I might post some photos if someone could suggest what I could do to my closet to hold her down a couple inches.
