im designing a little enclosed grow box for this other little plant i got from the strain i grew before. some delicious purple. any one know anywhere there are mini designs for grow boxes. im just going to go with my idea but if i see better i would love to use it.

dude whatup i have a 400w mh...how close should the light be???
i have a 400 watt metal halide. i have a glass shield and a 172 ccfm fan sucking the air our and exhausting it outside the closet.

for light distance in my situation varied. in the beginning i had the light at 20 inches from the furtheest top of the plants. the closest was at 16-17 inches. i will have it at 12 inches further down the road of flowering. but i wouldnt go closer than 12 inches. if u dont have a glass shield or some kind of cooling system. 12-20 inches is optimal... these distances work good for me.

what's a glass shield??? how close should the light be when the seeds haven't even sprouted out of the soil? I had it way too close at first and I think i cooked the seeds. I have a 4X2 closet with a fan and a constant 80 degree temp in the closet. Let me know...

ur better off to start with flourecsents to avoid stress...buuuut if ur gunna do that keep the 400 watt like 25-27 inches away and as they sprout and grow slowly move the light closer to avoid stretching and to let them avoid stress as much as possible.

this is jsut wut i wuld do...there are prolly plenty other and maybe better ways to do it so if anyone can contribute to help supply him with an answer.

a glass shield is a piece of glass that slides into ur reflector under the light. u use one so u can hook an exhaust fan and suck the air out with duct. it allows u to also put ur light close to the plants.

Popped back for another look and am really pleased for you (but kind of crazy jealous as well) that all seems to be going so well. Goes to show that bagseed can grow some great plants.
