4 Main COLAS! How?

I have a plant that is almost 3 weeks vegging. I want to top so that i get 4 main colas. I have read the differences between topping and FIMing but i dont understand how i can effectively get 4 main colas. Is it hit or miss? what exactly do i do?

grow to the 5th-6th node and top at the 3rd-4th the plant's hormones do the trick in fact its possible 2 get 6 tops but everything has 2 b perfect and that is unlikely to happen .

i actually have a grow right now where i did it, just topped my first of two plants, its about a month old. topped 3 days ago and have four colas growing perfectly!

here's pics of my topped plant, you have to cut just above the second true node (not counting the cotyledons) and the colas will come from the nodes

great thanks so will these colas be just as big a it would have been if it were just 1 cola? im thinking they will be quite a bit smaller. am i correct?

they'll each be a little smaller, but depending on your lighting it should turn out as more

u got a link to the grow? i'd like to get a comparison with mine if thats what your doin- new growth does start pretty damn soon too

haha so it's totally ok that my plant has 6 different colas??? lol i was wondering why the hell it kept splittinng at like every 3rd node. dunno if the plant was topped or anything as i got it when she was about a month or so old.

I dont even do that i grow to the 4th node then top above second

i lst my plants. i dont trim at all, just keep the top bend down. the side branches will grow tall and you can manipulate the plant so all branches are about even in height. this way you get as many colas as you want, depending on how long you veg.
