I been suspecting mites for a while. My plants are extremely sensitive to heat, females pistols are coming in brown and burnt looking, yet the plants are lush and vigorous, not burnt and only a month old. I have grayish/silver tips on leaves and the tops of large fan leaves stems are red, branches are flimsy and weak, not flopping and and lanky, but bendable and flimsy if that makes sense. Ive read that all these are symtoms of russet/broad mites but I havnt been able to find any with my scope, well I don't think I was taking enough time. This time I sat down comfortably for a while to scope the leaves. These pics were just off one leaf, I looked it over for probably 30 to 40 minutes, didn't get the idea to take pics until the end. I don't think those gold specks are normal, I need your guys help though, what do you think?20171103_192030.jpg 20171103_191817.jpg 20171103_192045_001.jpg 20171103_191649_001.jpg

The closer I looked at that first pic it looks like there might be something mite shaped at the base of those hairs, that's translucent and almost not visible, a bit larger than the gold speck, is that a mite?

It's hard to tell from those pics.
Do you think the gold spots are mites or damage?
Are they moving?
Lets see the whole plant.

Seeing the plant pics, I'm afraid it's very possible.
The curling and lower leaf damage could be indications of mites.
Snip a leaf, spritz it lightly, get out your magnifier and look for movement.
Only way to tell for sure.
So many issues present with the same symptoms.
You have to rule out one and move to the next.

Sorry I didn't fully answer your question but yeah I was kind of thinking the gold spots were mites of some sort. They aren't moving but I've sprayed them with spinosad twice now, 3days apart, and today they're due for another treatment. I'm probably going to use forbid.

I know that my plants showing extreme heat stress about 84 degrees, female pistols brown and withered, leaf curl, and red tops of leaf stems are all things that are not normal and all are said to be symptoms of the mites. Even though I'm not sure what they are, I know theres something and I figured it's best to get spraying than to be beating around the bush. My big plant has went down hill quick.

It's clear that in a couple of those pics you can see individual mites of some sort, like the first pic, question is what kind of mites are they
