As the title says, im using brown bags. Chopped Sunday, so this evening would make 4 full days in the bags. I had the harvest divided up into 3 bags. They were reading 51-60% rH. After seeing my hygrometer say 46% last night, and 41% this morning, I split bag 3 into the other 2. In a few hours I'll head home for lunch. My gut said I should throw them in Jars, but i didnt have time.

If the bag's hygrometer is still reading in the 40's with the addition bud added, i should Jar yes? The buds still have a little squishy/sponginess with the most subtle crispy dry feel. Hope they didnt dry too much/miss the cure window. Only 2nd time I've harvested.

I would definitely move to jars. Fill to 3/4 capacity. Toss a couple of fan leaves in the jars with your nugs to bring the moisture level up. Remove the leaves after an hour or two.

Right on, thanks for the fan leave tip. I wish i could check on them 1-2hrs, Lunch around 11:30, so they'll be in the jars for almost 5hrs before id be home. If the bags rh reads sub 45% on lunch, then i'll jar them. I also have some top cola's that I didn't break down; about the size of top half of corn on the cob. Imagine i should break those down now for more even moisture/drying.

So I got them into jars. The hygrometer read 41%, however, the stems that are maybe as thick as say a coffee straw, they felt dry on the outside but they didn't snap, So I take it that means there's still plenty of moisture in them just with my conditions - brown bag drying, being cold, the outsides are getting crispy and aerating off faster than moisture from the buds' cores can equalize throughout.

I just hope I didn't fall out of the magical window there that everybody speaks of for curing. Amazon still hasn't shipped my boveda 62% packs, smh.... I remember the days when Amazon shipped the same day you ordered s***! Lol

If you have a hygrometer small enough to fit in one of the jars, that would be ideal. I use one of those indoor/outdoor combo thingies, and the outdoor sensor fits inside a jar with plenty of room for buds.

It's okay if RH in the bags is on the low side, it'll probably be close to the RH of the room they're in because the bags still allow some air exchange. But once you seal the buds up in jars, the moisture inside them can't dissipate into the room anymore, so the RH inside the jars might go up higher than you expect.

"the most subtle crispy dry feel" to me sounds like they're still pretty wet, you'd be surprised how they soften up once they're in jars.

Right on growmie! When i got home, they'd been jarred for 5 hours. No moisture visible, nor could I feel any on the inner jar wall. Gonna check them again before bed. Thanks for the tips :weed:
