40% red/brown hairs

My plant has 40% red/brown hairs and roughly 60% white hairs. Unfortunately, it hasnt been maturing much at all within the last week due to very little sunlight. I cant move it and I dont see it getting much sunlight within the next few weeks. So, what Im asking is - what type of high can you get from a plant with only 40% red hairs?
 
I have the same problem with my early misty. im about to jus harvest it today and get what i get. ill keep it posted on how it turns out.
 
uh, don't look at the hairs. look at the Trichomes. the best way to find out what kind of high to expect is the trichomes. 50-75% amber/opaque trichomes is usually the most ideal (worker weed, yet still a great high.) when they trichomes are still clear, that means you're likely going to have some clear-headed weed. when the trichomes are totally opaque, you'll probably end up with some stoney couch potato weed.

the trichomes are the little sugars on the plant, you need atleast a 10x magnifier to see them.

it's not very reliable to depend on the hairs. it's much more effective to pick up a small magnifier and look at the trichomes instead, as I said earlier, they /truly/ define the readiness of the bud. I mean, I had rain turn a bunch of white hairs brown.


that certainly didn't mean that bud was done . . .
 
well, I will definitely cop a magnifier. Its about time i did that anyway. I will rephrase my question though..how high can i get off of somewhat immature bud? Lets say only 5% of the trichs are amber?
 
clip off a small piece and dry it out to give it a try. radio shack has a lighted scope 30/100 for about $12 that work great. got to have at least 10/20 % amber to be ripe. Good Luck... also read grow faq on this site
 
yeah, immature weed sucks. I've been smoking clear-trichomed weed for the past 2 weeks, feels like I haven't been loaded till today (with some dark trichome weed.)

either way, it'll benefit you more to wait.
