400 HPS vs 1000 MH???

I had a 400 hps die on me and am waiting on parts. I also had a 250 mh in also. So I fired up the ol 1000 mh and put it in this is my 8 week into flowering some ww and got the other half about 10 days in.. What to do for now and when I get the 400 back up?

I don't fully follow you but if you're asking if you can flower with MH.... Then yes...... I saw a dvd where a guy used all MH to flower and his excuse was because he got a great deal on wholesale MH bulbs.....

Exactly, 1000W MH > 400W HPS any day. The more light output trumps the color spectrum.

If you really concerned about using MH and not HPS to flower why not spend the $200 for the hortilux ultra ace 940w HPS conversion bulb to run HPS on your MH ballast? Thats what I will be doing in soon as I can afford it, right now I'm just using my 1000W MH and am very happy with the results. I just got it for $100 a few weeks ago and moved my 400W switchable ballast/bulb/hood into my veg room and am running the 1000W MH in the flower room.

I am going to get a 1000 hps soon but till then im just making do with what I got. I was just worried it was so late in half my crops cycle to switch over.. when i finish my new room Im putting both 1000 watters in it. Also I was wondering if everyone else is like me I always feel like I cant get enough light I always want more. Its like Im a light fiend..
