400 hps

Saw these two items on ebay, and was wondering besides ballast pre-assembled, is there any advantage of one over the other? I can do wiring so that is not an issue, but I could save nearly $90 on one of them. Is there any inherent dangers or issues such as no assembly case with the cheaper one?

If the components are of good quality you should have a great ballast. I've put together much of the ballasts I've used and they have never failed. Matter of fact, the only ballasts that have blown on me were Hydrofarm . GO figure.

Thanks for the reply. In the description of the first link, they say that the ignitor and capacitor have bolts so as attach to assembly. But without a case what/where could I bolt it to? I've emailed HTG for more info, but haven't heard anything yet. I'm thinking it may be better to go with the more expensive one and know for sure, that one even has a reflector already included.

i have the one already put together and a buddy has the one you have to assemble yourself......i would spend the extra money for the assembled one its safe and doesnt look hippy-rigged. my buddy's looks so ghetto and looks like a constant fire hazard.
