400 Hps

Bought a 400 hps, going to start flowering this week, how close should the lite be from the plants,

18-22 inches

put your hand under the light if it is to hot for you it is too hot for the plants

i question that method because holding your hand under a 400 wt hps i comfortable for a few minutes but when your in a 24 hour lighting peroid things will warm up ive heard that whatever the outside temp is on the leave it is multiplied by 40 % on the inside.

10-12 inches should be fine,especially if you have a oscilating fan blowing over the tops of ya plants,,,im speaking from personal experience,,,,,peace
