400 w vs 600 w for my size grow tent?

Hey guys, after a bit of advice.

Basically, I am already ordering my bits and pieces for my next grow. I am currently playing around with an Aerogarden but already feel the need to upgrade.

What I need to know is if a 400 watt or 600 watt would be better suited to my size grow tent. I have ordered this NFT system:

The grow tent I will be ordering will be around 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m (l x w x h).

The lights I am looking at are the following:

In an area that small will it be ok to run the 600 w given that it has a cool tube? Also have 420 watts of CFL's to add.

Sounds gd m8, Id go with the 600w. then add as many of ur cfl's as u can without getting it to hot in there.

How many plants you gna do?

definitely the 600w for that size.

600w the way forwards, 400 a little week for a 2m wide tent, maybe ok for a 1.2 square.

it's not 2m wide, it's 2m high.

And 1.2 by 1.2 is perfect for a 600. I have a 1m by 1m grow room and am running a 400w. Next month I'm gonna upgrade to a 1.2 by 1.2 with a 600w cooltubed HPS.

anything over 1m sq and 2m tall 600w in sputnik air cooled fitting will be fine. i used to run 400 in a 1m sq tent and was getting over 400g dry from it.

impressive. how many plants do you flower at a time?

oops! I misread! I agree, a 600 is fine in a 4ft tent with a cool tube, 400 will do but after moving to a 600 will never go back yeildwise!

Well that NFT system says ideal for 6-8 plants. Have 8 seeds left (6 x lowryder #2 and 2 free ones from attitude) so will probably plant them all and see how it goes.
