No, you just vegged way to long. The 400w can only penetrate effectively 2 ft down so any taller than that and its useless. Research LST and topping techniques and you will quadruple your harvest with that 400 watter.

I did top but didn't bother with LST
Reason why I let veg so long was I had to wait to buy the hps, money was tight.

Also had a Mars 300 watt led full spectrum only 140 watt from the wall. Got it at eBay for $70 but after reading more I didn't trust it to go into flower, its just to small not where near a $700 led.
HPs was $179 with open wing hood bulb and magnetic ballast.
But did have to order a cool tube from eBay to control heat my room is only 208 sqft.

I did think about amazon and eBay but what change my mind was that if I had a problem with the equipment the return time would mess everything up.
Luckly I found Htg supply great prices and local and a no Hassel return policy.

i dont even need a ac to cool my room with a 600 my room only goes about 5 degrees above ambient temp

The more money you can put into your grow room the better the results when conditions are ideal, I went getto for a while...
