400 watt heat control

I have a 2x2x4 tent with a 400watt mh running and temps get up to high. I have it set at 50% right now. I have a filter and fan pulling air out. The fan is like 50cfm. I'm starting to think I need a bigger fan to pull more air out but don't want to much to where the filter won't work

Anyone else at all? My filter will take up to 150cfm so Im thinking of getting one close to that as my exhaust fan and put my smaller fan down low for intake fan to pull some outside air in.

You really need an in-line fan or a squirrel cage fan. I run a 4in 140cfm. looks like this carbonfilter-->sealed hood-->in-line fan-->out top of tent. Works very good. High temps are usually around 81-82F.

So I'm looking at this Inline fan

Its 105 cfm and my other fan is around 40. So I would use this one for exhaust and the other for inlet fan. That would still allow for odor control. Would that much extra cfm pull the heat out and the inlet allow enough air into it the tent to keep it cool. I currently have it set on 250watt with the middle zipped down and a big box fan sitting in front blowing some air in the unzipped part keeping my temps around 82-84. Both plants are looking good just want to get the temps down and tent sealed up before they start to put off a smell.

This is exactly what you need. Or cootube, if that still doesn't solve it. Although it should.

I can't believe your able to get your temps that low your room the tents in must be cold.... IM running a 400 watt cool tube ( at 100%%) in a 4x2x5 custom box with a 315 cfm fan and passive intakes and a 420 cfm can carbon filter and I have to keep my ambient temps around 70 to get my box to 76 .... With that said idk how your going to get away with a fan any less than 300 cfm at 100%..... Look up 6" hyperfan thats what I use very quite and , small , well made ,5 year warranty and comes with a speed controller I did months of research on fans before I settled

The room its normally in stays around 70 but the light warms the room up a lil. I don't have heat or ac on right now in the fall as the nights are around 50 and days around 70 the weather here changes a lot. Our heater is on the other side of the house so the room always stays a lil cooler. Once winter hits the room stays around 66-68.
