yea man, they do look healthy and the trick is keeping them that way til harvest time. My Chem Dawg seems to be very much like yours, it's no doubt the most prolific plant I've ever grown, hell one of the CD clones is already 3 ft. tall and flowering.. My bro has some Blur Dream, some killer stuff, similar to the Blue Widow I think there's no doubt that Blue Widow is going to kick ass with every hit.

The CD really did blow up right before I flipped her. She's also first in showing her sex as I see white hairs beginning to pop up from a bunch of different places. That's what I'm hoping for! Atleast 2 - 3 Oz from each plant of some killer smoke and I'll be satisfied.

So guys, I've sat with all my seeds and I've come down to three strains for my next grow that I need to choose from.

Firstly, I'll for sure be running a G13 freebie of an Auto Diesel in my 1 gal pot, perhaps I'll get a bigger pot, but this time she's going in Miracle Gro (or some FoxFarm if I can get my hands on it). For my DWC buckets, however, I'm torn between Grandoggy Purps, Cheese Dawg, and Purple Wreck. I was thinking of maybe running the same strain in both buckets so either two of each strain like two Grandoggy Purps or two Purple Wrecks, or maybe mixing it up - like one Purple Wreck & one Grandoggy Purp, or one Cheese Dawg & one Purple Wreck, etc. What do you guys think I should go with?

I'm thinking about in a month - month & a half - I'll pop the next seeds, throw them in an old grow box I have that I started with under some CFL lighting, and once I harvest these babies in my closet I'll be able to then throw them in, switch them onto an MH for 2 weeks, and flip right away.

Been wanting to pick up that Grand Doggy purps myself. Bout to order some more seeds in a few days. I defianetly don't need them but want some of the freebies they will have.

I've been dying to run that strain as well! I think it's really a toss up between one of the purps.. Might do a side by side of the Wreck and GDoggyP just to see who's the better of the two.

Very nice looking grow man can't wait to see them blow up, do you think your humidity is just from there being a lot of plant in there now like crowded almost? Like a stronger exaughst fan would help it does your tent have vents on the sides? Or you could you leave the little zipper open more often I heard that just invites little pest in though

Ooo yeah I also forgot that chem dawg where did you get it and how long does it take to flower if I am correct it's saliva Dom or close to 50/50 so like a 10 weeker probley?

Nice journal thus far Steezy. I recently been browsing dwc journals on RIU as I have been thinking about making the switch to some DWC buckets from soil. I as well wanted to run the Dyna Gro line of nutes. My questions pertain to the nutes. Have you had to use ph down? R u using tap water in your buckets? If so what's your tap waters Ph? Sorry for some many questions. Anywho I'll be following this out to the end.

The blue widow will double in size + a more. beast topping job.. looked like mine be careful with the humidity late flowering with blue widow, i read up on it and its a concern bc of with thick colas and bud production and genetics it is prone to mold. definitely get that situated brother! good luck

It's from HSO. It doesn't say on Attitude which its more dom but I was hoping it wouldnt last longer than 10 weeks. Just because I want to start another batch of seeds and also harvest around the same time as my blue widow. Let's see how long she takes! White hairs starting to pop up everywhere however.

Yea I've been using tap water. My tap runs a little bit high closer to 7.0 and around 200pms straight out the tap. I've had to use very little Ph down as once I adjust the level for the first time it doesn't drift to far after. Dyna Gro is very simple to use! This is the feeding schedule I have been using:

I don't really know what were causing those spikes in humidity! Lately I leave a fan pointed towards my closet with the tent slightly open just to allow for more air flow and it seems to have done the trick. Hopefully she puts on some weight in the next few weeks, I'm already seeing the white hairs! Do you have any pics of your blue widow? How many weeks in flowering she took? and about what was the dry weight you pulled. Sorry for all the questions but can't really find any other blue widow grows on RIU; we're one of a kind brother


Pictures coming soon.. I want there to be a real change before I post new pics. Maybe upon my next rez change. Been about a week on 12/12 and sex is already showing on both the CD and BW. LA Diva is starting to frost up hopefully she'll swell up as all the bud sites are really small thus far. The smell coming from the closet is amazing!

Its good to hear that I don't have to use an Osmosis system or buy RO water as that would probably hinder me wanting to play with DWC. I haven't been able to experiment with molasses and such perhaps I might pick some up in the next few weeks and you can see the results of using it during flower. Yea, RO can be beneficial but my tap water is just as good so fuck a 200$ filter lol

Today makes day 44 for me and I have her tied down pretty good.
I'm in almost the exact same situation as you haha with a little less juice.
I have an autoflowering plant with two regs so the autoflower will be taking a loss haha
Trying to veg as long as I can keep it short man.
How many days from seed did you make the switch to 12/12?

Is molasses like sugar? Doesn't it help with crystal production or something?
also steep yea I'm sure it will be like at it's peak by 9.5 I was saying like 10 t the most but yeah thanks for tellin me where you got it I kinda of want to try it out

Lol I actually was planning on checking out your grow earlier because I saw you were also growing the Blue Widow! I let them veg for around 35 days (FROM SEED) before flipping to 12/12. It has now been around 10 days since the switch and the Blue Widow is still stretching something crazy. I have around 2 feet of space left in my closet so hopefully it'll slow down over these next two/three weeks or else I will have to super crop which is detrimental during flowering I hear.

Yea it's like a syrup, which when used with feeding it apparently helps with bud swelling as well as trichome production. I hope to harvest after around 8 - 9 weeks at most, with at least 4oz from the BW and CD, so I'll see if I incorporate molasses into feeding in about two - three weeks.

Oo nice I might have to try it out do you do it like the last 3 weeks or something? I assume it wouldn't be bad to use the last weak because it would probley kind of taste good ha

I got a Chemdawg on the way to amongst other things, so I'm def. using you as a reference

I'm doin all I can to keep my Blue Widow short....But she's a bad girl....Don't wanna respect daddys plans for her ha

Molasses is what's left over after sugar is refined. It has many nutrients and like steezy mentioned it suppose to swell the buds. I use it in my soil and I'd say it also brings out flavor.

Update! Week 2 of 12/12, Day 51 since seed I believe. Here is all there is to see from the LA Diva lol. Very small but also very frost for such a mini plant.


The chemdawg has already stopped stretching and is producing buds all over. The stem is very thick. Do some defoliation all the tops look near the same level of development.


Blue Widow is a BIIIIIIIG bitch She's stretching so high, I was not expecting this vert growth from her but there's tops every where. I just raised my light to the highest it will be able to go so if she keeps stretching I'm going to try some LST to keep her from busting out my tent. Can't wait for the buds to start coming in!
