Anybody? Need to know about venting.
You must use sealed, air cooled reflectors in a cab.
unless your running a cool tube or the likes then i would say always vent. She be hot!
Temps with a 400 will soar well over 100 if you're using an open reflector.
Ty bro!! It will be in a cool room with 2 computer fans for intake but I was hoping to limited the exhaust venting soI could use co2.
Even though your basement is cool, those fans won't move enough of the hot air to make much of a difference. Use those for the dark hours, you need real power.
This is a photo of mine, its 400 watt, air is drawn in from the right, and gets sucked through and out the left via 80 watt, 170 cfm centrefuge fan.
Even with this, my temps can get into the upper 80s if I'm not on top of things. Granted, its not in a basement, but this cabinet is comparable in size to your proposed dimensions. BTW, if you can't tell, the hood is sealed.
