400w Perpetual 2'X2' Closet Grow, 5 Strains!!!

Hi fellow tokers.

Tired of paying the high price for good shit, I decided to grow my own. Just finished my First grow, I harvested about 3 Oz from my 3 plants and I don't want to go through another 4-5 month total grow process before I can smoke the fruit of my efforts :eyesmoke:

Here are some photos of my first grow a week before Harvest and one of the Final Product. The strain is supposedly Kush, I got some clones from a friend.

For this Perpetual SOG I will be growing : Kush (clones) - Bubblicious (seed) - Hash Bomb (seed) - Mega Lemonista (Fem-Seed) - White Widow (Seed) ordered from marijuana-seeds-canada.

My closet is only 2'x2' but is about 10' high.

ROOM SPECIFICATIONS

Here are all the specs I could think of if somebody's interested:

FLOWERING ROOM:
Light: 400w HPS (12/12)
Airflow: Oscillating Vertical Fan and 4inch Extractor Fan
Temp: - 26-29 C. ( A bit too hot IMO) :cuss:

VEGETATION ROOM: Light: - 4x23w CFL (Daylight) (24/0)
Temp: - Around 22-24 C
Airflow:- Small Desk Fan

GROW MEDIUM

CLONING: Small Polystyrene cups in Humidity Dome until I see enough new growth
MOTHER/FINAL POTS: 6'' Pots

NUTRIMENTS: Nature's Nectar Organic, Every other Watering. I water using water I let evaporate at least 24H.

I use a similar space but have one in veg and one in flower at all times I use the mainlining technique found in subcools section of the forum and it alows me to veg 2 months and flower 2 months then harvest plenty off one plant to last me until next harvest I don't keep a mother but it also does not alow me to run more than 1 strain. alth I have enough room to keep one and just maybe alternate strains every 2 months

Looks good. That space is big/high enough for a 400Wer? Your temps of under 30C seem perfectly fine.

Hey I was passing by and thought you may like a little update!

I did some modification to the rooms lately, nothing big. I :idea:

light proofed the Flowering chamber so that the plants can sleep better. There was also some unused space in both chambers because there was a big gap between the door and the shelves.

The plants you see in the brown pots will be my future mothers for kush and Experiment 187. I may start grafting different strains to them in the next few weeks to save some space!

This is the light i built with 8 23w Fluorescent bulbs. Made of plastic sheets i found in the trash. That's 184w of cfl.

Heres where the magic happens!

The oldest plants are a bit more than two weeks in flowering. Take a look at this for a detailed view of what's flowering right now :

Yes it works perfectly I guess you never have too much light!

Thanks man I'll do an update tomorrow as they have grown, I'm not 100% that some plants are male and I want your opinion. Also, I'm gonna put 2-3 more plants in flowering for them to be ready one week from the last batch. If you pass by I'd like suggestions as to what to improve! Thanks.

Alright friends, as promised I'll give you an update of my grow today :razz:

Ventilation system update

I thought some of you guys might be interested to know how I keep the temperature of this little closet low enough with a 400w HPS light.
My extractor fan is mounted directly under my hood. I'm pretty sure it's better for the temperature as it sucks hotter air then the temperature at the top of the closet. On the other hand it does seem to block a bit of light. Since I have a 400 watter in such a small place I don't really mind. If you start such a small closet grow, trust me, invest in air cooled reflector! The gap is at the ceiling of the closet and I'm escaping hot air trough a 4 inch floor trap.

The air is the sent in a glass room that covers my sun trap. I've also attached my ballast there as it's way cooler than the grow room. I've stapled the panda film like that in order to block the sunlight coming in the closet in the morning. I think I'm gonna grow in there this summer with natural light instead of the 400w HPS what do you guys think?

Vegetation room update

It seems the clones I have made 2 weeks ago started rooting. I'm pretty happy as I'm still having my first experiences at cloning. They're all either Kush or "Experiment #187" (unknown female plant). The ones in the Red cups will be added to the flowering chamber room next week as this is a perpetual grow, I may even put more in the flowering chamber as I will remove males when I'm sure they are males. You can also see some seedlings that sprouted since last week.

This is my basil and there's also lettuce seedlings!

These are my future Kush and Experiment 187 mothers in the brown pots.

Here is the Flowering plants

. The oldest ones are now about 6 weeks in. I discarded all males and still have two unconfirmed plants. I took them out the closet for the pictures, but remember, this is a SOG grow and I have about 20 plants in a 2X2 closet. Believe me you could put more, the most efficient way of growing is definitely SOG.

I HAVE A SPACE ABOUT THE SAME SIZE AND BEEN THINKING OF STARTING THERE 1ST, I ALSO HAVE A BIGGER SPOT IN MY BASEMENT BUT LOOKING AT IT YESTERDAY I THINK IT DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH ELECTRICAL OUTLETS (ONLY 2) TO RUN A DECENT SETUP HENCE MY THINKING NOW FOR STARTING IN THE OTHER SPACE. I would say you can easily get an ounce or more a week from 3 plants. You harvest three and you put three more in flowering. Takes about 8 week so I fit around 24 plant (3X8=24)

Nice looking shtuff you gots there. I'm using a similar closet setup ill keep posted to see how it goes with ya. Just got some from -canada trying three diferent shops to see how they do. then ill stay loyal to one. subscribled to this though
