SO the auto water test went pretty well, I learned the ph will drop slightly and so will the nutes. The ph dropped each day (approx .1 each day) but the nutes dropped in 24 hours and held steady from there (1860 down to 1680ppm). The ph is a concern but the nutes are fine. More testing to be done.

The plants still look good however the buds directly under the light have some funny growth. I'm pretty sure this is from the light being too close (too much light, not heat). This may sound crazy from a 600w but I've seen it before and its always the ones with the most light shone at them and not neccesarily from heat. The light was around 12 inches from the tops, I've raised it to about 18.

I finished the Head Master (more bud sites) additive yesterday and stated 1/8 dose Bloom Ooze (more triches, snow :-P

) I'll build the Ooze up to full strenght over 6 days.

Lookin sick bro, those buds are getting frosty

Dpending on the nutes you use may be affecting the pH. If you want it to stay low use a tsp ot sodium phosphate monobasic to 10l of water and it will drop it about 100 times so from 6.5 down to 5.5... It may also help buffer it lower as well.

It's definately scarey doin scrog the first time, still not sure what to expect, I'm a bit worried about mold now. I've had problems with mold in the past, I have a dehumidifier in my room now though, it pulls about 800mls of water every night cycle, thats a lot for a small room and 2 plants.

Yeah, I cant wait to see them when I get back from the US, it will be bitter sweet though, an awesome holiday (and wedding, I spose :lol:

), back to reality. Might just have to get WASTED :bigjoint:

Seein as I wouldnt have had a smoke for 3 weeks :shock:

One thing I noticed at the end of my water auto water test was a little sludge build up on the bottom of my drum/resivoir. I know this is an issue in hydroponic setups (and my last DWC setup), I'm thinking of making a tea brew to combat this, anyone have any thoughts regarding this??

Can anyone tell which pics are of buds directly under the light (about 18inches/450mm), and which are slightly further out? I'm interested at the replys, mainly to see if anyone has a similar theory as me :joint:

How ya going Haydoon, Your grow is coming along nicely mate. Don't be to concerned about the weird growth. Foxtails is what there called i think. I have done the same to mine and had three or so offshoots sprouting out of the top of the bud. They are looking good though, well done mate!

Thanks chipper, appreciate the knowledge. Foxtails aye, now that you say that my last grow had exactly that, foxtails. To be honest I thought it was strain related at the time as only one of my 2 plants did it. The one with the foxtails had lite fluffy buds (they looked good till dried), this was an unknown strain, the other was AK47 (solid buds no foxtails). Definately seems light related looking at the plants I have now, seems to start with pink pistols then bright green/white spots and excellerated weird growth. Not too much of an issue but I do think it will affect yeild if I was to keep the light as close as I had it bongsmilie

Thanks Mo, 3 White Rhinos are near the end, at week 9. My other room is in turmoil, Seed development at week 8 of flower. :wall:

I have made a thread in plant problem section, there some pics of them. Not sure what to do with them
