mine are outdoor as well...i'd advise growing autos indoor or somewhere where they'll receive at least 18 hours of sunlight during the summer. under 12/12 their size is reduced considerably.

Does is take longer to bud under 12/12? i dont mind if the size/qty is less but i wanted to put 1 auto seed outdoors in my friends balcony, so i was wondering if it will get done in the prescribed 60-70 days? Im thinking of growing Dna genetics 60 day lemon, since the breeders suggest 12/12 throughout for this strain themselves

So guys its day 48, NLXJACK still not producing any trichomes just pistils, the growth has stopped at 27 inches. why do u think this is not producing trichomes? any idea?

SOMANGO is almost ready, loads of trichomes and fat colas. the pistils have started turning brown so i guess i would start flush tomorrow and give only water for two weeks then chop. what do you guys say? it is at 19 inches.

Pictures.

Hi Blackhawk

Now I'll admit I've come into here late. So I haven't read through the entire thread.

The NLxJack. Is it a SENSI seeds Jack HERER in the heritage? If do this strain has a pheno that can go up to 14weeks. Sometimes more. This could explain the lack of crystals right now.

As for flushing coco.

Its inert, meaning within a couple of plain water feeds your rootzone EC will be very low. 2 weeks is extreme in coco for flushing.

I grow in coco and don't flush at all. But that's me.

Are you planning to flush or leach?

Flushing is running 3x the volume if the pot with water.

Leaching is using plain water as you normally would any other time.

If you plan to leach IMO 1 week is all you need.

If you plan to flush then a couple of days should be fine.

As for yield.

SOMANGO looks good for around 2 ounces.

If you'd topped here and created multiple top colas basking in the 400w then you probably could have exceeded 2oz.

Gotcha!!!

If the lineage of the NLxJACK does have jack HERER in her then hold on tight. She's a long one. Lol.

Just make sure you don't harvest too early.

If you want a pretty decent yield with a good smoke from an auto try DINAFEM MOBY DICK AUTO.

I grew one out last year and pulled nearly 4oz off her. Very few leaves on these but bud to leaf ratio is UNREAL!!!

thank you for the info. It's a relief that nothing is wrong with the other plant. I do not think ill be going with autos again. These two were the ones I got free with my order.

N yes it is northern lights crossed with jack herrer.
That could explain the development.

I know what you mean about autos.

Last year I grew out 4.

DINAFEM CHEESE AUTO
DINAFEM MOBY DICK AUTO
NORTHERN LIGHTS BLUE
60 DAY WONDER

They were ok. I did it to have smoke while I was vegging a donar plant for clones.

I won't be doing autos again unless I throw some out into the wild somewhere this summer.

Sorry. Just found your previous post. So wont flush now. Wd just leach for last week. :)

I'm not really a "flushing" kind of guy.

But I'm not going to open that can of worms lol.

You do what you feel is right.

NLxJ looks like she has a long way to go yet.

In total agreement with jon, NLxJH has a while to go, the other one still has a bit to go still, I'd say she's about to put on some serious swell. But flush, leach, or not, they all have a place in gardening and depend on exactly what the gardener has done or plans on doing. Either which way, a long dry and cure is the most critical part of turning any plant into great smoke, no short cuts.

Autos can be a real bitch, they can also be super fucking awesome. It's that coin toss that has me on the fence. I've grown two autos, one that was super frosty, grew awesome, and yielded heavy, not to mention amazing smoke! My other auto I grew a few seasons later, she grew about 5-6" tall, was bunk as fuck, PM susceptibility, but smelled really nice. Stuck it outside in a 3 gal pot anticipating a 2-3ft beast like the seedbank description.
