42 Days Flowering under 220W CFL

Haven't posted about my grows for awhile, this is my second time growing and I made a few adjustments to my method. I LST'd this time as you can see by the pictures and I'm getting great results with run of the mill nutes and some good old blackstrap molasses.

The strains are both bagseed, good bagseed mind you, and one of them is showing some very unique characteristics while the other is growing very dense already. As you can see ( kind of ) one of the plants has brilliantly colored pink hairs all over the tops of the buds. This plant is growing at the rate I'd expect most plants indoors, the calyxes haven't swelled yet but the buds are growing rapidly. The other plant is a bit shorter, darker leaves and extremely dense buds. At 42 days flowering the circumfrence of the main cola is the same size as a 42 watt cfl.. Coincidence? Haha who knows, but the results are making me very happy so far.

If there is interest I'll get some pics up of the updated setup and the plants outside of the rubbermaids. I took a couple night shots for the pictures included. I've never done that before but I've been told a couple camera flashes won't stress them out to the point of hermaphradite. Anywho, what ya'll think? (Yeah the leaves are curled on the one plant from being too close to the lights for awhile)

Hey guys thanks for the responses. I'll get a more in depth post up with my setup and i'll try and get some closer pictures of the buds. I'm working with a 3.2 mp camera atm so its tough to get nice macro shots. Also there are two plants there, I've been using expert gardener's mix soil, it has the 3 month nutes in it, but I found its a lot easier on your plants than MG. I used Alaska Fish Emulsion all through Veg, I vegged about 35 days and the plant with pink hairs started to flower on its own in 18/6.. Another interesting characteristic.. So I put them both into flower at that point. At the beginning of flower, probably the first 3 weeks or so I was using MG Bloom Booster, its something like 15-30-15. I think it was overnuting my plant so I cut back a little and started giving them molasses just last week with a small bit of that MG Bloom Booster. I'm thinking about sticking to only the molasses for flower. I think it's like Grandma's Brand Black Molasses. But yeh, I'll get some more detailed pictures of the setup and work on a couple bud closeups. Keep em burnin!

Ok here we go.

I've included pictures of my setup as well as both plants, a few closeups and a few full plant pictures.

Alrighty, the setup is two 37 Gallon Rubbermaids stacked on eachother. I cut a large hole in the lid of the bottom one just big enough so the top rubbermaid would sit on it but it wouldnt fall through. I lined the inside with chrome duct tape, and I found in the first grow it doesnt reflect as well as other material, so I threw some milar on the walls and lid with the lights for better reflectivity, and it's working fantastic! I've got 3 fans, a nice muffin fan which I've attached a turn knob speed control to, a regular computer fan and a small adjustable (up and down) desk fan. I've got two 2 inch pvc intakes on the opposite side of the muffin fan.

For Lighting I used three six 26w 6500k blue spectrum bulbs for veg. For flowering I used three 42w 2700k, three 26w 2700k and a purple spectrum 20w for supplementary lighting along the backside and bottom. The purple spectrum light has actually helped as far as I can tell.

Nutes:
Alaska Fish emulsion for Veg.
MG Bloom Booster and Grandmas Black Molasses for Flower.

I've obviously LST'd, and my plants were about 7 or 8 inches LST'd before I flowered. I didnt bother LSTing in flower either.

Veg for 35 days, and planning on flowering these both at least for 10 weeks perhaps more on the larger slower growing one.

Yay, pictures! I tried to do the best I could with the camera I've got, so bare with me on the closeups. Couldn't get in quite as close. Here it goes.

If you have a hand held magnifying glass you can use it zoom, I use one with my iPhone with good results. Also come in handy preharvest

Thank you everyone! I'll keep posting pictures of their progression if you'd all like to see how they progress. I'm open to any questions you might have about my methods and setup. I'll also help anyone who might have questions that I'm capable of answering. Gotta spread that CFL love :bigjoint:
