hey SS, going to be giving buckets a run in my warehouse I just obtained. How would i go about getting some guidance from you to assure complete success my first run?

PPM's now staying steading for 24 hours in the 460 range. Also pm steady at 6.3, can't get it much lower than that in my system because of small 4 gal rez.... Next grow I will soak my medium at a ph of 5.5 or lower, maybe that will help ??

BS. You can get any ph down. That high is no good in hydro.
Is it ok to mix all my nutrients in my bucket adjust the ph to say 5.0 then it rises back to 6.5 then adjust down the next day to 5.0 and then it will rise to about 6.0 then put in my rez ?? Basically I want to know if my water/nute mix can sit out of rez in a bucket for like 48 hours ??

I just dont see why. I add tap water and all nutes to a 50gal res then adjust ph. Next day i will need to reset it again then it stays close to perfect.

Its a pain for me... I have to drain out all water in a bucket and set ph to about 5.0.... It always finds its way back to 6.0-6.3 because of my small 4 gallon rez........ U probally just add a few ML's of ph down straight into you're rez????

Yeah i keep it in a ketchup style squirt bottle. I use more than a few ml, im in a slightly bigger res. After a while you learn a system and now i know just about how much of a squirt i need to get it straight. I passed the exact science part a while back now its a little of this and that.

Fucking stupid rez... After adjusting my ph for like 36 hours yesterday I got it in the 5.5-5.9 range... 15 hours later it is back up to about 6.5, what a joke... Anything I can do for next grow to set ph to 5.8 and it will stay using same nutes, general hydroponics ??

The pH and ppm will tell you what the plant is doing... until you're damn good with reading your plants, you will see shifts like that. Have you checked for the obvious pH flux reasons, and looked at EC/PPM to see the up/down vs pH to let you know what your plant is doing?

No because it goes up no matter what I do.... First grow I grew 8 ball kush and the breeder said it was an "easier" seed to grow and the ph was a little more steady.

Well one going up, and one going down points to the plant pounding down more water, as compared to nutes, and vice versa. That said, there's also readings that can point to tank contamination and other symptoms as well. These are critical things that have to be watched in a hydro system - am not lecturing you, am trying to point this out so you can have a bit of sanity in your grow.

I want you to lecture me. I know all the basic and intermediate knowledge about hydro based on reading the last year. I don't know the advanced things.... PPM is now up 25 pts, could this be due to the salt on the sides of my rez??? Not saying I have salt on the sides of rez, but what else could make a "flush" ppm reading go up ???

Ph up and ppm down means that the plant is eating (nutes) more than it's drinking (water) .. the product of this (if your plant is pounding down nutes, is strong and growing fast) is the buildup of alkali salts, which drive the pH up. In short, the faster this beast is taking off.. the faster, and bigger of a drift you can expect pH-wise. If you've recently flushed/rinsed/replaced the rez solution... the buildup of salts at that point and how much they affect the plant(s) would be related to the size of a rez. Example: a 10 gallon res with X amount of salt in it would cause more of a pH flux than a 40-50 gallon res with the same X amount of salt, due to the concentration. Make sense?

ppm is steady at 225 and ph is now 6.2 range or dark yellow in my ph test kit... Dark yellow is 6.2 from when I had a digital meter and it broke.

Ok but my ph has been rising since day 1 meaning sparkling clean rez and set it to 4.5 and day later 6.5 then drain out and set to 4.5 then day later it's in the 6.1-6.3 range, with a crystal clean rez.... Does my medium have any effect on my ph in my rez. I mean say I have my medium sit in ph'd water of 6.5, would that ph my rez water go up ??? ANd vice versa, sit medium it water of 5.0 would it cause my rez ph to drop ??

Just order cheap ph (works good though) tester on ebay (same one I had before). Also order those little button cell batteries for my x45 eye loupe. Got 10 batteries for $2 and that includes s&h. I love ebay !!
