45 days or is it the size?

I have been reading and it seems some people say they move plants to flower at 45 days or so. Others say they move them at a specific height (18 inches etc.) Does it matter? what is the smallest/youngest plant you would move to flower? Happy friday to all!!

you flower a plant when you want it to bud. you can flower it at any point according to what size plant you want in the end. on indica strains i grew i flowered at 3 weeks or 7 fan leafs. i ended up with 3 to 4 foot plants in the end after 55 days of flower

So does the lenth of veg time have anything to do with the potency of the end product or is that all up to flower time as long as plant is healthy? Thanks for the quick reply Jordisgarden.

Younger plants have had less time to be fucked up and retain a diminished potency, old plants have are of course more plant matter to fuel bud production. More bud production could possibly lead to less potency depending on care?

Thats my assumption on the matter. All I know is a big plant takes longer to flower and thats enough for me, especially with the probability of senate bill 420 being overturned as unconstitutional!

the strength of the end product depends on a healthy veg (any length of time) then when flowering its all about keeping the plant happy then depending on the time of harvest you can alter the type of hi the smoke will give you. many growers have different views on when to harvest.

giving a plant a decent veg, say 8 weeks will give you bigger plants, more budsites and more bud but not necessarily more potent. the length of a veg depends on the grower, if you want to turn crops fast you grow more smaller plants, doesnt mean you get shit bud.

Senate bill 420 only limits medical use of cannabis. It was enacted without voter approval and its hopefully going to be put in the trash soon.

I am growing in a closet, but i am using Fluorescent lights, my plant will be 6 weeks tomorrow being in 12/12 since Nov 5th. it is currently about 1 foot tall.
So do you have an idea around what hight would be best to go from veg to flower for a closet grow? beacuse i got 2 more little plants (5 inches) growin in another closet and they have been growin for almost 5 weeks now but arnt growing to quickly due to weak lighting?(realizing this now, quite sad) so with all the factors its different now which suks lol hmm anyone got an idea for fluoro best time? Anyone with expierience flowering with fluorescent is my general question im guessing, and how much did it grow in the flowering period ?

i'm not using fluros but i would keep my plant tiny if i were growing in a closet, probibly one of the best uses of 12/12 frow seed would be for small grows like this. that way as soon as they are mature enough they will flower keeping the plant as small as possible. keeping your light close will keep vertical growth to a minimum too.
