CD, your plants look like they are on steroids...I know there are a lot of factors that contribute to growing, but how big of deal do you think it is adding nutes ? Would you ever have to ad nutes to soil bought at the Depot that says contains nutes for 6 months ?

And, have you ever tasted the nutes in your bud, or anyone else's bud ? thanks

thanks arch!!!! look at this, i just "rebuilt" my whole box 6 weeks into flowering. i had grassy out of the box, that was a real bitch getting her back in and not fucking her up!! redid a couple of the bulbs when i got her back in there and added a couple more stakes to hold up some more of the branches that have big buds. i took the 12 x 6 inch vent i got at home depot for $6 and made it the only air intake and passive at that. i removed the defuser boxes and took out the 90mm fan and cut the box to fit the vent.

i then removed the 8 inch fan at the top left and covered that hole and cut a new 10 inch hole in the top so that the exhaust blows straight up and put the side defuser box over it. we turned the a/c on so i took out the piping from the window, winters over down here, LoL, worked while it was cold out. then i put an 80mm fan for exhaust in its place and the 5 inch table top fan so that the whole left side wall is all 80mm exhaust fans. the temp before i started was 86, now its down to 82 with only a passive intake. the big 10 inch fan shuts off with the lights, its kinda noisey but it works great, cant wait to get the new box and set it up. that will happen when im done this grow. i need to get something else going here pretty quick, i cant go without growing something now, LoL.

They look like they are great for adjusting light to where you want it...thanks

thanks a lot cowboy!! i bought the jungle growth soil at lowes, they are the only place that carries it. and no, i dont do anything to it, no sand, rocks or perlite, it works great right out of the bag. it does have a small amount of nutes already in it but i use my own fox farm nute schedule i made off their chart.

i dont flush, they get nutes right up till its time to pick, no taste, smokes great. thanks for reading all that, there is some good stuff, heres the link to the light things on ebay. Light Extenders

ok, so i raised the roof on the box and i now have the super u-haul grand wardrobe box, LoL. it added about 16 inches more height. its day 50 for the girls and im sure they'll be real happy with the extra room, heres the pics.

i was also able to put the t-5 light back in for some extra side light on maple.

Very nice!!! I love the super grand box!!!! they gots lots of room to breathe now!!! plus you fit more light in there!!!! It should be a great ending to this ride!!!! did it change your temps at all?

thanks bro!! it sure should, theres like 20 shoots and then the main one on maple. when that shit fills in, theres gonna be some nice ass buds on this baby. and sweety has quite a few shoots herself along with the big main one. the temp at the bottom of the box is 81, theres no point in checkin it up high cause you know what its gonna be up there and all that will make me do is worry, LoL.

yeah they do, LoL. thanks a lot man!! im sure i could have done a little better but i was in a hurry, i just wanted to get my babies back in the box, LoL. i think they'll be going past the 8 week mark. heres some pics i just took.

I'm not sure what your using for exhaust, but in my cardboard box I have one 6" intake fan and one 6" exhaust fan from wal mart...I think they were like $5-$6 at wal mart, if you just load up the exhaust with a couple of those, you'll have great temp control. Also, I'm not to sure how familiar you are with adding boxes on top of boxes, but all I see in your pic is tape. Huge tip....you should grab some hot glue (a gun with glue is about $3 at wal mart) and glue that bitch on, then tape it. I found with just tape the box falls a part pretty quickly. And the last thing you need is your lights collapsing on your babies!

the top i cut off sits over the extension like the top of a shoe box. the bottom of the extension is slotted and interlocks with the original box. the tape was just to seal it all up. i made sure there would be no chance of collaspe, LoL. i like the glue gun idea though.

i dont use any intake fans, only the 12 x 6 passive a/c greate, i have 4 12v computer fans up the side of the box and a 10" electric fan mounted on the roof of the box all for exhaust. i was just saying that i know the temps up top are higher than at the bottom of the box. the plants are growing fine so im not gonna worry about playing the temp game, LoL.

its day 51 and there looking great, the buds are filling out very nicely now. i added 2 more weeks to the feeding schedule charts as im sure there not gonna be done next tuesday at 8 weeks.

day 52, the girls look great, wish i would have used a little bit bigger pots. i thought about trans planting but its to late for that really. if this stuff is as good as i think its gonna be, im gonna order these same 2 seeds again and see if they grow the same way. i also have the fem LSD seed, which i will grow by itself for the next grow.

those buds are fuckin sexy!!!!!!!! they look pure white!!! when do ya think your gonna start the LSD? I really wanna get seeds and try that strain... it would be cool to start them around the same time.

I like the dark green tent in that strains foliage. I actually don't think those auto's were supposed to get that big but whatever, I might be wrong. The only way to know for sure ..... I guess would be to grow it out a second time, right.

Looks great! Have you ever tried LSTing your plants? It helps to get those lower buds closer to the light.. Can't knock what you have going on though. Looks awesome for having those lights fixed above them like that. I'd get a couple more and drop them down closer to the lower buds though!

thanks bro, not sure when im gonna start it, maybe when these are done. i got a couple seeds from someone at the track from the kush thats been going around out there and they want me to grow them. but most likely im gonna do the lsd by itself.

from everything i read, they were only suppose to be 14 to 16 inches tall, thats why i chose these 2 strains. i just might get them again and see if it happens again.

thanks a lot stump, i have on other grows but i said i would just let these 2 girls grow natural being autos, i never expected this though, LoL. im not a pro, but its the leaves that use the light, not the buds. light degrades thc after a while, not sure how it all really works, but just some stuff ive read. the setup is what it is, i would like a couple more of the t-5's for side lighting though. the light bar is on chains that can be raised or lowered. when these are done, im gonna add them.

heres a few shots from start till now, todays pics will be the next post. thanks again all!!
