4th grow ever: Female Seeds Bubblegummer

Setup:
- 2 DWC, 15 & 35gal rez (5 plants 35gal, 1 plant 15 gal)

- 400w and 600w HID (400w over 1 plant, 600w over the 5)

- Botanicare PBP Grow (& Bloom) exclusively


I put the biggest plant by itself. It sprouted later than all of them and it's twice the size of the 2nd biggest plant.

I will top the big plant for 4 stalks, and the other 5 for 2 stalks because of space.
I will top all of them once the smallest plant reaches 6 full nodes.

Here are the plants at nearly 5 weeks. I included 2 consecutive days so you can see the significant growth in 24 hours time.





Unfortunately I'm still dealing with gnats from my last grow :/
They're a nuisance but the plants grow faster than they can eat them.

Also got one of these yesterday. HM Digital Aquapro AP-1. Shows PPM and temp in C or F.



Works well as far as I know.
I got this one because it was the only one with 4 digit display instead of 3 digits with 10x multiplier.
Had to calibrate out of box, however they use 342ppm factory calibrated and I got the 1000ppm calibration solution.
It has stayed calibrated since though.

Cool, I saw that people said good things about Female Seeds and it is really hard to beat the prices! I'll be watching this closely. Subscribed!

Yes I heard good things about bubblegummer specifically thus why I decided to grow it.

I topped them all a few days ago. My #1 plant is still #1 lol in fact it's bigger than all other 5 plants combined now.
Still growing vigorously; topping didn't slow it down one bit.

Here it is right after being topped.


Then after 3 days:


As you can see it's topped for 4 stalks while the rest are topped for 2 stalks as in the pic below.



Also, I noticed in my last grow with Strawberry Blue that the 2nd node was actually the dominant node. So when I topped the 5 plants to have 2 stalks, I topped them above the 2nd node then cut off the bottom node. The one pictured is the exception. Its bottom node was growing stronger than the 2nd node so I kept it.

Also forgot to mention the 1 plant is under HPS and the other 5 are under MH.
I don't have a 400w MH while my 600 came with both. Doesn't seem to matter one damn bit however.

where did u buy your seeds at if u dont mind me asking???? i am doing an aurora grow and got mine from nirvana, but the only bubblegum i see on that site is bubblelicious (spell check.....However, i see plenty having huge success with bubblegum on here, and i think that is what i will try next

Getting big



Also the 3 tops I kept as clones are rooted. Including the one from the big plant that I will keep as a mother.

I've had 100% success with clones. 3 last grow and 3 this grow. No rooting hormone, humidity dome, nothin.
Cut it at a 45 degree angle, stick it in a rockwool cube, and that's that.

While we're at it I guess I'll let you all in on my plans for my next grow. I'll have a very large separate veg room where I'll grow mothers, clones, and autos. I will flower 3 plants in my closet planted 1 month apart so I can harvest every month.

I just started germinating my future mothers last night. G13 pineapple express, white widow, blue widow, NL x skunk#1, as well as my bubblegummer clone. Mostlikely gonna plant afghan kush special, cheese candy, and a la diva auto as well.

Still in early stages of planning, but it's gonna be BIG.

Quick update: Pistils on the big plant today

Fairly stretchy plant. Node spacing averaging 4-6 in. on the big one but lots of nice thick branches on it. Scroggers dream.

Craziest strain I've grown yet. Been raising lights several inches a day.
If it gets past 3 1/2 ft. tall (it's at 3ft.) I'm gonna have to super crop it.

Also my clone of the big plant is really starting to take off

Still going strong. Only 1 of the 5 plants is just now starting to show pistils whereas the big plant has been flowering for a week.

I don't like my 400w (the hydrofarm above the 1 big plant). For one, it has a built-in ballast and weighs about 35lbs. I'm afraid its gonna break the bar I have it hanging on one day. Secondly, the cheap wing reflector of my 600w has far better light distribution while the 400w hood has a very tiny opening. I will probably get rid of it and get another 600w for my next grow.

Also notice from my 1st post that the big plant has gone from a 4in. 2 node topped plant to this 38in monster bush in only 3 1/2 weeks time

Topped these earlier for height reasons. Top 6 inches was burnt to shit practically touching the bulb. Way too tall. Seems the closer they get the more they want it. Even now I barely have any wiggle room if they continue growing upward.
