hey go to www.hydroempire.com click grow lights and then hps then look for the 150 watt hps its only 79.99 mine are almost 4 weeks and they are three times the size of your plants not to mention i dont think you will be able to flower anything with that light and if you do it wont be worth all the work all you need is a new light hps can grow and flower the plant i suggest you look into it if you really want to grow your plants.

thats interesting. I just started using a product that has quite a bit of kelp in it. I'm using it though to control stretch, as these particular girls vegged for far too long.

Do you notice any side effects of the kelp? Smaller height? more veg matter? anything?

I wouldn't tell a guy just getting his feet wet with growing to buy the most expensive tech out there that is still well under development. I've seen some impressive LED grows, but that little 14w panel will not flower a plant even remotely as well as a 150w hps. To flower well you need the good LED fixtures, and the manufacturers are still figuring out exactly what spectrums to put in them.

Pretty much stretch is controled on strain and your lights... A dominate sativa is gonna stretch like a bitch... However poor light is gonna make any plant stretch like a bitch. I use liquid kelp for lush green growth. His plants were looking a little yellow.

Really?... Sounds like you have grown with LED's before. You have some experience with them do you? Because I got a little experience with them and love them. I plan on equipping my new 8x10 grow room exclusively with LED

Brother, hats off to you for sticking yourself out there and experimenting with the tech. I don't grow with them yet, cuz the best i've seen yet was 550g pulled off of 600w of the newest led spectrums. Comparable to 600w hps no doubt, but much more expensive to buy the lights. Your little plants look full of frosty goodness, but for far less than 200 bucks for 56w of led he can get a small hps, get his feet wet and pull a qp off of that one bulb. Then maybe he can sell a zip or two and buy some fancy LED. I wasn't knockin ya bro. just tryin to give a beginner sound advice. happy growing :)

LoL.... My little plants yielded me 1.5oz a plant. Same as my buddy who gave me the clones. He's got running 2 1000w hps. By his own admitance mine had more crystal LoL....So...My lights cost me $150.00 each. $200.00 an 0z x 4 + a $25.00 increase in my electric cost...LoL...Whos the winner?

I'm not knocking your grow, or your equipment. I even said your plants looked nice. I'm saying this guy has a fixture available to him for 50 bucks that's capable of yielding him a quarter pound off one grow. You're suggesting he buy a single 14w $150 fixture that can't yield a quarter pound. Why would it be bad advice to use the cheaper alternative, at least to start?

Sorry, I didnt mean to come off like an ass. I was mearly suggesting he get the 14 watter to veg with...Once he see's the result in veg maybe he'll get more because you can FLOWER with LED'ss

No kidding, I just cited an example of a 1.25lb pull off of 600w LED. They probably are the future of marijuana cultivation, but I always assume a new grower very much has cost in mind. Maybe growing isn't his thing. Maybe he'll breed the next superstrain that autoflowers and gives 1 fem seed per plant. At least starting with a less expensive fixture that works, his future options are wide open. Like I said, happy growing brother.

wow ok so alot goes on while I sleep...haha

sooo.... there IS this hps fixture I can get for $50 it comes witht the ballast ..... the bulb is 150 w but says it puts out 400watts so the draw is less on your light bill like those eco efficient bulbs..... so do you think it puts out 400w and does that mean any diff for my plants...... how much heat do they put off??? there is only 1 of these in this hardware store and it looks like its been there for a copuple of years.....I shoved it behind something till I made up my mind, and yes cash flow for this anyway is LIMITED.... I am not a broke bum but I got 2 kids an 1 due any day so the wiffey isnot as concernd about my plant lighting as I am....... AND what about these " 400-gram production" off 1 plant in these seed wright ups???? you gotta be an expert to pull something tike that right??

the other prob is this hps fixtue is meant to be on a telephone pole and cones straigh down not like a big deflector like Ive seen on some sites.....do these run off reg 110 or 220....I think Id rather not use this thing in my closet if I can at least get a begginers yeild off my cfls( if thats possible) I want to get this grow out of the way with out spending a bunch of $$ so I can apply what I experienced to bigger scales.....i told my wife " 400 grams a plant @ $30//g =$12,000x5=$60,000 " !!?? some one slow me down if I am wrong..........and YES its $30/g here(and there shit aint all that either)

haha also there is a security light that I know is hps in my yard......Im thinking of climbing thth pole and snatching tht one....power company wont miss it hahaha

so they just went through there 4th or 5th transplant ( I KNOW I SHOULDNT BE MESSING WITHT THEM SO MUCH BUT I JUST NOW GOT BIG POTS) they went fromthere butter containers to 1.5 gal pots with 1.5 inches of rocks at bottom( the others i just put shards of broken glass cause i didnt have rocks) the roots wer just starting to grow through the glass( at the very bottom) maybe has to do with the whilting the roots were massive and looked healthy..... a couple that wer exposed to air in the bottom wer really fuzzy... though that was what roots do though ( was it mold or root growth) any way well see what they do

heres a question for ya.....my wife is about to have our baby girl any day(hour) now... i mean we got or bags packed and shes started "pre labor" we will be going about an hour away to have our baby....and are going to be gone for like 2-3 days.... if i water them really good before i go will they last till i get back......
