4th week flower getting too big ok to tie down like this?small black curled leaves :/

hi here is some pics i am 4 weeks into a 12 week flower of arjans haze no1

the big one to the right has grew really fast compared to the others

the 2nd biggest one is now put to the back left

and the smallest is one that i thought was going to die when i put into veg i must have stressed it but its going ok now i think its at the front left

also i get some tiny black tipped leaves curling tightly downwards , is this a nutrient deficiency im using ionic range to keep things simple

oh and one of the main questions was is it ok to tie them down like that as some of the taller ones touch the ceilin of the the tent so i thought it was best to pull the top buds back down to help get some extra lights , i have also done this in different directions to let light get to different side of the plant

yeh i think i might have vegged them an extra week or so :/ i still have another 6 - 8 weeks to go lol im hoping the growth has slowed down a bit if they dont grow much further i can keep them under the light mostly

i just hope it doesnt wreck the yield due to potential light blocking down below ?

Just bend the tall ones 90 degrees at the height you want them. Super cropping has to be done pretty regular though because the plants recover alot of height each time.

bend and supercrop as in the full on bend over to cause the internal damage ? can i do this during flowering i was told you can only super crop during veg

also is it safe as although the pics are crap an may not show the stem is really thick can i bend that ?

and what about all the tallest branches are they safe to bend/ supercrop or just bend and tie down with string also ?

these things are getting a bit too big i think :( i dont want their size to screw up the quality of the smoke , nor the quantity but priority is how nice this weed is for me , i take it i shouldnt chop down the main stem ? i dont want to as there is alot of bud sites all over it

When I saw this I laughed, sorry bro! .... This was me on my first grow, you'll never veg too long again though. Truthfully though, Youre buggered! ..... i would chop some of it out, then tie the rest down. Get it back under control. You'll minimise, risk of pest/mould your end buds will be nicer and you'll generally have more fun tending to a neater garden.

Just my opinion.

DON'T CHOP ANYTHING. 4 weeks into flower must of the stretching should be all done. Just keep em tied down and let the buds fill in.

This advice is good but the reason I suggested a chop was because it important you keep good ventilation especially during flowering. How is your venting setup? Good/Bad? I did notice what I thought might be condensation (water) on the side of your tent in one of your pics. Have you noticed moist walls? If so this needs attention, especially if you decide not to remove any lower or stray side branches.

I agree totally. If you need to chop a little for ventilation that's one thing but I personally wouldn't chop anything for the simple fact of height control. Tie em down and thin out some under growth for better circulation.

ventilation wise i have an 8 inch fan pulling through the two lights and then pipe diameter increased back to 8 inch to the filter , so the fan is outside the tent which sucks air through the two shades from the 8 inch filter and a 4 inch going in i have a crappy little fan but i think i will get another couple to get some proper air movement in there

i will go up after work and tie things down a bit better an spread them out

Wat do u mean by tied down. I got a room where it can grow. Send good pictures otherwise dont give advice. Most people understand a picture better than TELLING SOMEONE TO TIE-IT DOWN. Nobody yet has explained it. Yea, I've been flowering for 4 days and it has gotten bigger. 1light 1 plant. Besides i have seen people who flower when there plant is only 18" tall. This is Indica "Mr. Clean" if u please. They are normally bushy and I like it. In another 5 weeks we'll see how new I am.

I only super crop late in flower because that's when I need it! Bend that branch hard at least 90 degrees, you'll be amazed how tall it will be again in only a day. It's ongoing, my main stem on some plants can be pinched or bent 5 or more times!

Yes, you'll probably need at least two. and one of those fans should at least be an oscillating fan, moving side2side.... plants look good otherwise.

peace

well i went an bent some of them around but i was too much of a pussy to do the main stem lol , so once they spring back up i can just keep bending other parts down to keep the canopy low right through flower ?

the upside to bending them is my fingers smell amazing !

i will get some more fans today i only have one little oscillating fan and its really n floor level i will have to suspend it from the rails or make a pedestal sort of thing for it as i want a couple blowing over the glass of the magnums to get my lights really close

thanks for the advise people i was getting worried

Yeah if you want it to be more long term tying them down will keep them better in place, I just hate dealing with tying shit and drilling holes in my pots to put string through.
