Tonight's watering night, so a full picture update will be posted.

So...at the time when i'm awake, and post my updates, RIU was "updating for 20 minutes" for about 8 hours....
But I have pictures, and data pertaining to this morning watering, will post in about an hour or so.

Fuck, fuckin cops showed up to pick up my sister on a 1700$ warrant! God damn it, they DIDN'T, but they have a warrant to search the house, if they come back, they prob will, since they were super antagonistic when they left...I've got the setup disassembled, and all the plants stashed safely in a non-functioning car in the garage, but they are in complete darkness atm...They've never had that...if I don't get them out of there within another 10 hrs, they'll wanna flower...4 hrs off, is no biggie, as long as I get em back under the lights soon they should be fine.

What a FUCKING HEADACHE!!!!

Notes: Growing Fine, i've been trying to get both side of the top to an equal height, as once as about an inch taller then the other. It'll get there.

Notes: Looks good, just like C1. But also like C1, she's about the same height, and needs to/should be about 20 inches by the end of veg cycle, which was only supposed to take 3-4 weeks, but since they only about half that, i'm worried i'm going to have to keep them in veg for another 2-3 weeks, effectively DOUBLING the amount of time vegging them...which isn't my first choice...but I suppose S1 does need to veg for several more weeks as it is.

Notes: One side of the top is still VERY small compared to the other. But I was however considering taking a number of clones off of her in about a week or so. (Just to allow these new chutes and branches to come in, that way whatever I take won't do much damage.
And on an interesting side note, check out the picture with the lighter in it by comparison. This is the smallest weakest plant so far, yet it has a leaf with larger leaflets then i've never seen. I was told that this strain had the potential to be VERY large in the way of leaves, but the strange thing is that this one, and another very large leaf, has kind of a sandpaper feel to it on the top. And if you look at hose close together the ridges are(n't) as compared to on other leaves on other plants, it's HUGE, it's also quite strange, and i'm honestly quite unsure as to what may have caused it.

Notes: Looks great, in another week or 2 at most, i'll be able to start taking clones and ensure that the strain stays around until after harvest and cure. So I can decide if I want to keep the strain personally or not, i'll def trade/give it away for a diff strain, or credit for a diff strain further on down the road
The Fim worked perfectly, it's showing new growth on the 4 corners of where the new leaves I clipped were coming in.
She looks like she MIGHT be showing some calyxes coming in, but I don't know for sure, and wouldn't want to jinx myself....

Psudo Update:

Ok, that was 2 days ago, it'll be another 2 days before I water again, and even when I water again, I think i'll skip the nutes, since the 20/20/20 used a few days ago, it's quite strong and I think a decent "once and awhile" nutrient, not so much every other watering, so basicly, every 10 days instead of every 6 days of so.

And if you've read any of my previous posts, you'll know that 1-2 days after all these pics and info was recorded, I had a crazy run in with a couple of police. My sister put my address down as hers once, and if i'm to believe what they said, she claimed that I (her brother) had died, and that's why she had missed her court date, and as a result, the police came a knockin on my door asking for her. And shortly thereafter informed me that they had a search warrant to search my place (to look for her). They didn't, since I put them on the phone with her and he was finally convinced that she wasn't here!!
Problem is, if he came into "The Room" he would have got a nice glimps of my Master Kush clones and my Purp strain seed grow...
Needless to say, it scared me terribly!!! They were all moved out to the non functional car in the garage, and sat in total darkness for about 8 hours!! But, I've fixed up my setup. And now they're right back under 100% 24/0 cycle. At least until they reach about 20 inches.

Unfortunate I have to put Tripods above the plants in order to hold the lights. Most likely I will be building a good CFL holding apparatus. I've got several idea's, but in the meantime, I have them setup in the most efficiency oriented manner, they're hanging on all sides and sitting on all sides, it allows me to shine valuable light into the precious undergrowth, and helps the plant branch off, it's already worked wonders for horizontal growth!

Wow man, thank you, that's REALLY cool of you to say. Means a lot to me to hear that, but this is only my SECOND time growing cannabis. My first grow wasn't on RIU, and I was never really all that interested in it in the first place, it wasn't until the buds started getting really big, that I started getting 26W 1660/1600, 5000/6500 K respectively. And to give you an idea of what kind of grow it was, I call it "The Never Ending Sativa Debacle".

It's kind of embarrassing, but this is a pic from my first INEXPERIENCED NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING GROW.
It was a shwag (stress as we call it) bagseed that had been frozen for awhile to begin with. Anyway, here's a picture of it, but you have to remember, this was before I had any idea what i've doing!!! >_< Enbarasssssssing!!!!

I have ADD also actually, but I write it all each time I water and take pictures, and no, not a file, a Composition notebook actually, and I have a basic template I write out on each page and I fill in each field as i'm doing that. It takes me a good 30-40 min to water, cause i'm recording data in my comp book and taking pictures.

And I absoloutly notice a difference from leaving them on 24/0, without any darkness breaks, they'll take in as much light as their leaves allow them to. And the when the plant is using all that energy, paired with the water, nutes, ect, you end up with a lil champ in growth.


And as far as it looking good, I was told by the guy I purchased the clones from that it was a very difficult strain to screw up, so I have that on my side. But i'm glad I ended up with a PURE INDICA blend of a Sativa/Indica Hybrid. Altho I believe that's what my purp strain is.

UHAUL has big boxes you can also pick up some small pvc pipe with corner pieces to build your own tent/cabinet i myself used a dresser and it works great i want to get some mroe cfls and use that to grow a couple this sumemr instead of using the 400 until i get something to get the air circulation going plan on getting a inline fan witha filter and maybe a tent with a light and ballast upgrade all plans my friend alll plans

Oh I dig it brother, I have need to get my HPS, build an carbon filter, buy my panda plastic, ect, ect, ect. And it will go on like that until i'm in a 10,000 sq ft warehouse surrounded by plants and lights!

But in all seriousness, I just purchased an extra 3 hoods, 4 lights, and 4 Y splitters, i'll post a picture of my complicated setup before I upgrade and use the new equip, these hoods are VERY effective, i've noticed it's effectiveness on the center plant (S1)

If I do my math correctly, I now have 17 26W CFL's 442W, 4x 5000K, 13x 6500K. Add it up and together, they add up to 27,440 Lumens, and the 4 reflectors should really help them take off, I estimate another 8-12 inches growth over the new 2-3 weeks, and then, they go to flower.

Btw, I also wanted to upload a couple pics of the old setup before I moved and improved it.



Anyone who's been doing this for awhile would say this is ridiculous. And they'd be right. it absolutely is, theres wires EVERYWHERE, things hangin every which way, it's no good.
It's still mostly the same now, but a little more organized and without the miles of wires tangled at the bottom of the table holding the 2 double lights. But doing it like this as opposed to mounting them, allows me to keep them at an angle.
CFL's put out 90% of their light from the sides, and not from the top, so when ppl have them pointing strait down at their plants, it's very ineffective. NOW, my old setup may have been silly to look at, and maintain, but the plants were getting good light from all angles, and when I finish fixing up the redone setup, it will be even better.
It'll be 3x more improved then the pics you see above.

I believe S1 is a female!!!

Now please, correct me if i'm wrong and it's actually new branch growth i'm seeing, but she's starting to show signs of her sex, and i'd like you guys to second check/confirm my findings.

Also, i have a question for anyone reading my grow. I want to take clones pretty soon, i'm looking to do so in the next week or 2, but i'm gettin a little antsy....I DO plan to veg for another 2-3 weeks, or until I purchase my 400W HPS, you think in that 2-3 more weeks in veg the cuttings I take will have grown back? I just want to make sure i'm not gonna be missing out on any good sized branches because I took a clipping. Ya know?

what kind of reflectors are you using? ive heard tat the cfl's oput out the most from the sides as well. i was thinking about getting a cheap drop cord, like a mechanic would hang from the hood of a car, and usng them placed sideways to supplement mine, right now im using the heat lamp type reflector, just a reflective cone, but with it that way the sides of the lights are just getting reflected opposed to the side lighting from the drop cord,

also before you switch to the 400, keep in mind temps are a bitch! i wish i had learned more about using the cfl bulbs before i dropped the money on the 400. should have used cfl's for the learning curve.... since ive never grown indoors the only temps i have ever known are my average 81 degree daily temps! it stays 10 degrees hotter in my tent than it is in the rest of the house, so if my house thermo is on 75 my tent is cookin @ 85! didnt think this through when ordering. should have gotten the fan/filter combo, but i didnt think i would need it.... wrongo!

I've got the entire room to use with an a/c vent and a ceiling fan.
And the reflectors are the same as in the posts above, there's just 4 of them now, with 2 bulbs on a Y adapter in each one.
The temps tend to stay at a cool 79 degrees, but when it got hot here for a couple days, it suddenly shot up to 89 real quick...but we also didn't have a A/C running at the time.

And no congrats for the sexed plant?
I grew that on a whim, from an immature seed I pulled from my bowl. as it was simply sitting on the top staring at me....
Now I have a fimmed female who should be able to produce a couple oz's if treated proper..
