Do i know you from somewhere??? You sound very familiar.... Like i know u from another forum site u know! Some of the "bag" CO2 options come with spores to grow mushrooms once they stop generating the gas.

Perhaps, but my plants seem to be quite happy, and I am in a fairly sealed environment.Unless you're in a sealed environment, CO2 won't do you any good unless you provide enough light to exceed your plant's photosynthesis capabilities without more CO2 to process. I would be shocked if you're even close to that photon level. Of course if you just want the mushrooms, that's another story.
ok so ya got a tent that seems a bit less than 60 inches wide and ya want to run 4 cobs wide per 42 inch bar
from what i've learned on cob's and their spacing ya want them 1 foot from another and
on a 42 inch bar looking at your numbers it looks fine. 5.236inch heatsinks spaced 6.67inches from heatsink end to end looks good to me
how many rows deep are you going to run?
This is exactly what I got I bought. To anyone interested:View attachment 3939252
This is from Timber Grow Lights, it's supposed to be 300w, will this do good in a 4x4 orca tent? And if so, what temp should i choose, 3500k, 5000k, 6500k???

This is exactly what I bought off of Timbergrowlights too and got the 300 W kit with six cobs and put together the frame myself (trust me use a wire brush and it will look amazing unpainted) and painted green. Its a 300w 6cob setup kit 3500k. Go with a heavier gauge metal for aluminum L angle if you put it together yourself. Learn and I recommend using a rivet thing. so much easier and faster honestly put in the frame together was quick.
Then added a 260 W quantum board to it. Can't say anything as far as harvesting or yields this is my first real run with it currently.
Right now I'm in week 4 but for 10 days of that was seedling stage. Love Hempy.
yes and yes. if you decide to keep it original color, then def brush it. I got my QB in the frame better and higher in the frame now then it looks in this one pic. I had to kind of temp it cause I was already running these girls when the order came and I didnt want to do anything perm to it yet so I just zip tied it in till this run is over. as long as its safe.Sweet set up you've got there. You recommend wire brushing the whole frame? Aluminum angle 1/8?
how many drivers would you use on a 4x4?No. It won't.
Traditional lighting standards say 600w HID for veg and 1000w HPS for flower in 4x4 tent. After you take LED efficiency and directed photons into account you can get away with less that those wattages for your lights, but not that much.
Orca is nice stuff, but the reflectivity of the walls won't give you much relief from producing the micro moles you need for a great grow.
Timber makes a nice product, but there are more cost effective ways for you to light your tent if you're willing to do some work. I would suggest building a 12 or 13 COB fixture using 1400ma dimmable drivers with passive cooling in a 3x3 frame. I recommend the 1400B drivers since they are the lowest amperage that can be dimmed to off.
For 12 COBs go with 3 rows of 4 COBS evenly spaced.
For 13 COBS go with 3 2 3 2 3
Cree CXB 3590s have been the go to COB for a while but technology has moved on. If you're up for the challenge, look at the Luminus CMX22 at cobkits. They do a great job at 50w and are less than half the cost of the Cree chips. With 133mm pin heat sinks you'll never have a heat problem.
If you're up for the challenge, here's a search link to start with featuring Growmau5 posts and videos
Just so you know I've put my money where my mouth is here's my 16 COB fixture in a 5x5
Hey man thanks for your kind words. My problem right now is, i gotta make it work like this because of budget but maybe later i will upgrade and do the whole 12 cobs, for now this will have to do. I wish i could make it bigger and slicker but yeah man, money is a problem right now...
What if you only usedI use 2x meanwell 320's per 4x4 which is close to 800 watts at the wall. Judging by the weight I pull with that per 4x4 2x meanwell 240's would match a 1000w se hps.
How many cobs do you run on a 320 and do you dim down ? Thanks for the replyI use 2x meanwell 320's per 4x4 which is close to 800 watts at the wall. Judging by the weight I pull with that per 4x4 2x meanwell 240's would match a 1000w se hps.
D8 COBs per 320. I dim down when I start veg and gradually turn them up. Full blast throughout flower. I'm not sure what your first question was but looks like you were trying to ask what if you only use one driver? If I could only use one I'd use a meanwell 600, but 2x 320's are cheaper and outperform the 600..
Nice, how are your yields ? Seems like a great setup. I am wanting to build a 4x4 cob setup and am getting ready to pull the trigger. Have you used luminus cobs before ?8 COBs per 320. Oz's, Lb's, Kg's?I haven't used luminous COBs, the only COBs I've used are citizen 1212's. My yields are great. I've pulled over 6.5 units from a 4x8 with about 1550 watts of COB and 360 watts of cheap strip led supplementing below the canopy. https://www.rollitup.org/t/exotic-genetix-future-chocolate-oranges-big-smooth-cob-led-gas-lantern-routine.940610/

Thanks for taking the time to reply to a COB newbie. Do you have any heat issues running 16 COBS at full blast in a 4x4 ? I was thinking of Running 600W of lighting, but your setup has me second guessing myself8 COBs per 320. I dim down when I start veg and gradually turn them up. Full blast throughout flower.
