just trying to get some ideas on how to go about this. I plan on doing a sea of green grow in soil. how many can i fit in here with what power light? I Also need smell control and semi quiet sound control. i live in a cold climate so i plan on leaving the window open in the room its in when I am not working on them. I Live In a very rural area so smell is the biggest worry because i can block most noise to outside and light when i have the tent open. Any Suggestions Would Be Nice Thank You

Sounds like that's the same size add mine. . I started out with a 400hps with a 400cfm 6 inch fan. .. I added another 400hps since then.. The most thati have done and it was still a Lil room to move them about was 16/3 gallon pots. Carbon filter for the smell they have noise reducers but I don't use any

I run a 4x4 with a 600. I use a 6inch booster fan to cool the light and 4inch fan/carbon filter to handle the smell and ventilation. I have done well running 9 plants in 5gal pots but prefer running 4 plants in 7 gals. this makes for a long veg time but I have a seperate veg area.

Jus like grownbykane said. . 600 will be fine. . Get everything we said that we have in our tents. . The only draw back from using them sized pots is the money to by soil to fill them up.. However, bigger the pot, bigger the plant and less plants to have to work with. . I veg from anywhere from 6-8 weeks. . That's soi will know the sex by then aswell as there be big enough to take a nice amount of clones from them.. The plantsi have going now are almost 9 weeks into veg cause of my auto isn't done yet

it sounds like this might be your first grow. if that is the case I strongly recommend running fewer larger plants. if you pack 12 or 16 plants in there it might bump the yield up a bit and it will reduce the needed veg time, but you will have 16 plants all with I dividual needs. they will need water at different times. if your growing from seed they will all consume nutrition at different rates and they will all finish at different times. true sea of green grows tend to be more sucessful with hydro (though im sure there are guys killing it with soil sog grows somewhere)

600w for a 4x4' space.

Number of plants depends on strain and how long you veg.

If it were me (I flower straight from clone), I could fit in ~45 plants at once ;)

We are opposite. I run (4) 600's with 1 plant per light, in 20 gallon pots, 8x8 tent & average 13 oz dry per plant.

I have a 4x4 tent as well currently running 600watt HPS, 6inch inline fan for outtake with 6inch ducts and a 12inch desk fan to move air around.

I usually run 6 3 gals with 6 1 gallon little fellers

Its decent lights on is usually around 30-31 degrees, lights off usually around 20-23 but I've had it dip to 18 before.

no. the light and carbon filter are totally seperate. I have a booster fan deticated to cooling the light. it pulls air from outside the tent, through the hood, and back out of the tent. I have seperat set of ducting for the carbon filter with its own fan on a speed controller. this allows me to have more control over the temps inside the tent. when I first bought the tent I tried to cool the light and run a carbon filter all in-line but it just didnt cool efficiently enough.

Is your carbon filter ran by an inline fan or booster ?

Im assuming inline you just have the booster to cool the light?

If not, does it work well I didn't think booster fans were strong enough to blow/pull through carbon?

a high velocity inline fan pulls air through the carbon filter and out of the tent. the light ducting and fan are 6 inch and the ventilation are 4 inch. this works extremely well for both temperature and odor control.
