Hello Friends of RIU, It has been a while since i have posted.
However I am starting a new crop; figure since its the beginning i'd share.

A few specs:
Currently...

- (2) 1000 Watt
- 4X8 W/ 50gal Res.
- 20lb Co2 Tank
- Dehumidifier/cooler

As of right now I am starting week (2) of veg this monday.
I am running 25 Plants in 6in Pargo (rock wool) cubes.

Prior to this grow, i ran two 4X8s and i noticed the roots wanted
to spread but stayed under the pargo where it was dark;
as they should seeing as though light kills them off. So i will be in-
vesting in a coco mat this time to protect them.

Temps W/ lights on are 72-78 while dehumidifer setting running.
when dehumidifier turns off temps raise a bit 78-84, however when this
happens my Co2 kicks on.

So far my ladies are thriving, personally i want to lower my temps. I was thinking of switching
back to my (2) 600watt lights which should lower the temps and my electricity use. i would think.

well now the good stuff photos. (will share some of grows before this. pictures are current grow)

Yeah if you're running co2 if anything you might wanna raise your temps. Also how often do you have to top off your res? 50 gallons seems small for a 448,000 to me

Naw its perfect size for the 4x8. I do 2 tops on the first fill to soak the rock wool but after that its fine. Just fill back to 50g on every water change.

This was a grow that was harvested a couple months back…
this was my first crack at hydro. think i ran too many plants
lmao but they still came out pretty nice. Although, the Best strain
was this 1 plant of Xj-13; smell, taste.. everything.

Update; for those who sub'd or just checked in...

Chernobyl is looking great still running the 1000s (turns out one of my 600 ballast went to shits)

They have grown extensively in the middle. Ive also took heed to the "christmas tree" shape from the Trainwreck.

These ladies are screaming for a SCrog grow but I'm not sure if i want to yet.
Pictures coming a lil later.

thanks again. (week 2 Veg)

Hello again, back w/ some concrete updates, well at least to me...
Purchased my coco mat for this run, hoping to protect my root zones a little more
from the light or just build a stronger root colonization. To do that I used to use Subculture
for root innoculants, however i shall be trying a new brand. "Mykos"

Its a (WP) Wettable Powder, 1/2 cup for every 50gal. i also sprinkled a bit under each
plant site once they were repositioned.

Im thinking that if i go for the 3 weeks of veg I will have no choice but to SCrog.

PH: 5.4
PPM: 1470
Water Temp 68 degrees

Once again thanks for stopping by...

…A lot can happen in a week.

Well lets start off buy saying i am impressed so far w/
this strain and I'm very eager to see its flowers. Started
week 1 of flowering on Mon. Before that i had a light fall
luckily only one plant was harmed. but she will still be able
to continue on w/ the rest in flower.

The coco mat is thing i think i could have ever done for my roots
they seem to love it, running and hiding under there since i placed it down.

anyways… heres some photos
(Btw the roots pic is a 2 day time span)

great job .. can i ask you a question about rockwool .. lol.. i have used it to clone but never threw the entire grow.. im just lookin for a way to do SOGs that is less work then mixing dirt.. and or setting up these crazy watering systems.. and shit.. i wana convert 1 flower room into RockWool. or COCO.. . i mean coco is the same amount of work.. but id like to try rockwool see how much difference there is in taste and smell.. and is the smell and taste close to soil? or what nutes or teas are best to get a hydro system to take on a better smell and or taste.

Well i would recommend it for SOGs or any type of hydroponic grow. As far as taste and smell go; I can say the taste is way smoother and more "pure" to the strain, this is because its easier to flush if your using just rock wool, especially if using like a A/B nute compared to organic (compost tea) grows; versus flushing a dirt mixture which from my experience need a extra week or two to flower. and the smell... is about equal compared to a soil mix
