4x8?

I recently got a 650 watt meijiu strip led and that would crush a 4x4 but for my next grow it would be easier if I had a oil heater and and dehumidifier in the tent but in a 4x4 it would be crowded so I wanted to get a 4x8 and have the other section completely for the oil heater and the dehumidifier and humidifier now would the light be less effective in the 4x8 cause it would be missing that other half of the reflective wall in the 4x4 ? Has anyone else have a setup like this and how easy is it to dial everything in

I run mine in a open room and do ok. You’ll be fine.

what kind of oil heater are you running? you pumping air into the tent or keeping the heating in there?

that's a big heater for a 4x8, I assume you only needed it for the winter? Couldn't you go for an electric oscillating fan combo one, with thermostat? Runs lights at night?
Radiating heat is preferable over a unit blowing hot dry air in a tent.

oil heater would be way cheaper on the electricity bill and yeah it might be big but it has a thermostat on it would only be on to maintain 28 in the tent

I asked the same question when putting a 10x10 room together because I planned on growing in half the space. I was told no and I havent noticed an issue

Yeah -40 it gets and 28 is a nice heat all of my research I’ve done with leds is you want it to be warm and get that leaf temp up to get faster growth you can have it 25 if you want but then your leaf temp will be low from my experience is your leaf temp is like 2 or 3 degrees less then ambient temp

It will be in a basement and it stays cold all year around not sure exactly how cold probably like 18 but if I can just heat that tent and have my fan kick on when it gets to 29 to extract and have the oil heater kick off at 28 I should be able to keep it pretty optimal in the tent

Winter is a killer for LEDs, in a room that's 24-26 during winter leaf temps drop as low as 22-33 then you are into that vicious VPD issue. Yeah if its getting that cold then running 28 is good. It's spring tho! We've been getting up to 20 these past couple of weeks!
