5 plants 1 pot.

im trying to make it 5 plants every 3 weeks. i banking that the plants will be ready whithin 12 weeks, so they should be a harvest every 3 weeks too.
im on with, seeing as ive just started this project. grow 3, these plants are in the first stage of vegg. first i germ, start in v.small pots , then place in the long pot till week 3/4 vegg, then they gointo the 250hps, and so on 400hps when i goto 12/12.
ive just started this way , to save space, plus its a lot tidyer.
first i drilled about 40 holes in the bottom of the long pot, then placed 2" pebbles to help drainage, put in muck and perlite, small pebbles, made some sections,"so roots dont tangle". then placed my 7 day old seedling inside. there on day 9 now and seem to be doing fine.
this is easy to do and also very tidy, i place a towel on top on a nite and it help keep the lite in the pot/plants, you cud even hide it , if you needed to.
im only going to use this pot,for the first 3 weeks, unless they get to big, then ill just place in the 250 vegg room. im sort of trying a convayer belt, 5 plants every 3 weeks, im just trying to make it easye,r for myself.
hope this helps people, who are on a budget, to get you started till you get some bigger lites ect... im using 1 18 watt, 1 15 watt, and 3 8 watts, and seems to be working just fine.
hope this helps,

I started mine in a long pot like that. When I transplanted to individual potters it was a bitch. I lost a few of them and the rest took some time to recover but are flowering now!! It was a good way to get started but I have to recommend little cups as it makes the transplant much easier on me and the plants. It's good you put up some barriers to keep the roots from tangling, maybe thats where I screwed up.

I'm not sure about the 5 plants every 3 weeks, how many will you have to have going in each section (seed, veggy, flower) to keep that up? You might need a lot of space.

Good luck looks like you got a start on it.

i like the way u set ur medium up . . i tried something similar with 3 plants in a 5 gallon pot . Didnt work as i planned . . as mother nature attended, the strongest survived and now i am down to one plant . Lets just hope its a female.

Does the cardboard actually separate the roots . . i think this is how my two plants died . . the big one's roots must have destroyed the two littler ones.

I agree with Rocky, however it could be a good idea but you may want to rethink this conveyor belt, every 3 weeks seems like you're pushing it, I'm having a hard time with an every month or so rotation method, so far I'm pretty much on track, however I did get a late start on the second cycle and am a shitty cloner, so I'm having to rethink things myself.

As Rocky stated, you are going to need the proper amount of space.. also that pot would be fine for what you are wanting but would be wise using clones as you already know the sex also won't have to pull any males (if any .. odds are there will be) and would be easier to keep the canopy around the same height, If you keep that pot I recommend removing those pieces of cardboard as they are only going to get in the way and get water damaged, the roots are going to pass through in time.. or get some type of plastic and make walls but place to soil level, in other words bury them..

Better yet take Rockys advise, if you decide to transplant as he stated you just might have a hard time and even chance killing them, go with small cups or containers, grow up some healthy girls, then take your hand at cloning, if you can get the cloning down you'll definitely be on your way but you are going to find it difficult to achieve this simultaneous or back 2 back harvests as you are now.. flower a girl or two so in the mean time you'll have something to smoke while thinking over this situation..

Good luck to you and your grow...

It looks like a good idea crazy especially if you do not have sufficent lighting.
I am running into the same problems with my little plants because I didn't think of what would happen when i transplanted. I really need my light soon.:-|:peace:

I am going with a 600 watt but am just not sure whether to get a switchable or not. I haven't decided to just have one big grow room OR two separate ones.

I do know that I have to decide today because my plants need MORE light.:peace:

what kind are you going with lacy.

If done 5 indoor grows but only ever used cfl's. I had them hanging everywhere. It was insane. They were up top and sideways etc. to get light to the bottom,

:peace: Cat crying.
