Hey jam2764'
I am going to grow my mother plants indoors untill about 2-3 ft tall, then transplant outside when outdoor sunlight is approximately 12/12 to start them flowering - probably around may where I am at in Northern Cali.. I think it is a good idea, just make sure your mothers do not get root bound while vegging inside, use at least a 3 gallon pot for each, then transplant into big holes full of prepped/conditioned soil prior to transplanting.

Good Luck!

In the Bay area in May the sun will be reaching 14 hours by the 12th. I personally will be putting a few out around 4-20-10 to get a little jump hopefully they wont try and go to flower since they will be actually put out at about 13 hours of light.

Wuddup jam, funny way to get attention and equally funny that all these guys got mad about it...effective though. So what I would suggest to do is continue with your plan of 5 mothers. 5 guaranteed female plants started indoors is a huge advantage to waiting to start them all from seed outdoors at a later date. It would be in your best interest to top and supercrop the hell out of those 5 clones while they are still indoors until about 3 weeks before the weather permits you to put them outside. At this point I would take a bunch of clones from each mother, allotting a solid two plus weeks to root and the final week or so to begin adjusting them to the sun's intense light. This should result in 5 very bushy moms and a whole bunch of pre-determined female clones ready to go, all of which should grow to be significantly larger than any plants started from seed (at that date) since these clones are already established plants. Good luck man, hope this helps out, I would have p.m.'ed you but I couldn't figure out how?!?!?!
