Here is the deal.

5 weeks into flower - soil
Always PH my water 6.5

Mobile Nutrient issue as it started on the oldest leaves and is sneaking up the plant.

Use only Dry Nutrients throughout grow
Dr Earth HomeGrow
Lobster Meal 6-2-0
Fishbone meal 3-18-0
Langbeinite 0-0-22 (plenty of Mg ) 1TBS per 5 gallon

The buds are developing well but this is chasing up the plant. The lobster meal has a high calcium and maybe that is driving the thirst for more Mg?

So I always amend my soil with slight amount of Dolomite Lime - it has made me not have to think of the cal-mag deficiency - it always seemed to work.
But I have found because I introduced LOBSTER MEAL or CRAB MEAL it has some good amounts of CALCIUM only - and too much will lock out mg and need to keep in some type of balance. So too much CAL and no mag is like having all MEAT and no Potato.

live learn and get high.

Bottom line you want a 4:2:1 balance of Potassium:Calcium:Magnesium
Otherwise you will see lower leafs show signs of Mag def in week 4-5 flowering.

my nutrients below have a bit of mg in the langbeinite but only enough to offset the Potassium. The Lobster meal has high Calcium and zero mg.
hence the deficiency showing up. A tsp of Epsom Salt in my water seemed to get it all back into a good place.

Dr Earth HomeGrown (4% Ca)
Lobster Meal 6-2-0 (8% Ca)
Fishbone meal 3-18-0
Langbeinite 0-0-22 (plenty of Mg ) 1TBS per 5 gallon
