2 tsp of FloraNova Bloom added to a gallon of 7.7pH tap water gives a pH of 6.0 ...... I need to add 50-100 drops of pH up because the FloraNova is buffered....

I should pH to around 6.5 for soil? Is it ok to use this much pH up?

Unless your PH is wayyyyyy off, which it isn't, pour that buffer solution down the drain. You do NOT need it. Besides 6.0 is about perfect. Typically hydro growers will require PH buffers, but not dirt growers. I know many dirt baggers will use these buffers, but imo they are a wastes of money. As long as your water is not totally fucked up then your good to go. GL

I'm not adding buffer. What I'm saying is that the FloraNova Bloom nutrient solution is buffered which is why I'm adding so much pH up. But 6.0 pH is good for soil?
