500 Watt Blackstar Grow- 5 L.A. Confidential, 1 OG Herojuana (3rd LED Grow)

Ok guys I am back in business! I just got back from Hawaii Last night, and I went to the dispensary today and picked up some clones. My house sitter fucked up my White Widow seedlings, so I had to start from clone this grow. I bleached every inch of my grow pots, my grow tent, all my lights etc. I have a sterile grow room, that is ready to rock and roll. I do not have any trips planned in the near future, so this grow has no time constraints. Here are the specs for this grow:

5 LA Confidential Clones
1 OG Herojuana Clone
Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
3 Gallon Pots
2 Clip fans for Intake and Exhaust
2 Oscillating tower fans for air circulation
1 Dehumidfier (to be purchased soon)
2 500 Watt Blackstar LEDs (304 watt power draw each light approx)
House and Garden Nutrients

So the clones survived the first night after transplant into the 500 tent. Looking healthy and sexy. Leaves reach for their new light 2 500 watt Blackstar Leds with a power draw of approximately 608 watts. These clones are the healthiest clones I have ever picked up. Lowered the lights today so the lights are sitting 18 inches away from the top of the canopy. Plan to lower a little more each day till I get in the 10-14 inch range, then eventually for flowering 6-8 inches away.

I really want to try and be a little more aggressive and start feeding my plants House and Garden nutes 2 weeks early. Hopefully I do not give any nute burns as I try to push my plants.. Found a cheap $60 Dehumidifier from Bed Bath and Beyond, going to pick that up in a couple days.. Sleezy out.

Did you have the light that close 6"-8" away last run?
Yes, these clones do look better than your last ones, it seems to be hit or miss with what you can get from your dispensary.

Yes I did have my lights 6 inches away last grow. Yes, these clones do look completely different than my last run. The last run, they were in bad shape from the start. This time around I knew better and picked the healthiest clones available. I really wanted to grow the $100 OG strain, and last run those were the only ones. These clones I bought were already 8-12 inches tall, so I liked how healthy they were.

Start off with literally drops of nutes and you can get away with it. 1 wk after my 3 clones rooted I used: 1 drop superthrive, 1 drop b-52, 1 drop voodoo juice, 1 drop dyna-gro pro-foliage, and 1 drop Pro TekT mixed in a half gallon of ro and the newest (4 instead of 7 days rooted) burnt barely on the tips.. so im literally riding the line with it this early.

The 2 on the left didn't feel any burn



(not to be misleading.. that EZ-Clone is still Brand new in the box and wasn't used for these clones)
At least im still putting it to use though? haha. I picked it up after they rooted in the clone dome.

sub'd i have been vegging an LA for a lil over 4 weeks now, jus switched her from hps to mh conversion bulb, and took 2 clones from her yesterday before i had all the proper equipment. LA is a fun strain to grow!

Just a little bit of helpful info for you bro...Ever asked yourself "what do real scientists (not nute companies) say Vitamin B-1 (ie. Superthrive & B52) does to plants? "

can be propagated. Its use for stimulating root growth in whole plants is not supported in the literature
and one study reported that root growth was greater in the control treatment (water) than with thiamine.
Plants in the field manufacture their own source of thiamine and it is therefore unnecessary to add any
additional levels. Many fungi and bacteria associated with plant roots also produce thiamine, so it’s
likely that healthy soils will contain adequate levels of this vitamin without amendment.

Anyways, the point is, why do you feed all that crap to your plants when you could just feed them the Dyna-grow and grow exactly the same plants without wasting money on all that other AN marketing hype.

The only thing it'll do is make your wallet feel lighter..

Anyways subbed in for the grow, looking forward to what the Blackstars can do!

I didnt mean to thread jack, this isn't actually my grow, and since I bought my Dyna-Gro nutes all my AN stuff which I previously purchased sits on the shelf for the most part (with the exception of bud candy, big bud and nirvana which im using to get rid of lol)

I am pretty convinced with Dyna-Gro overall and then Bloombastic as a finish. I do have a grow journal if you are interested in subbing up though.

Hey sleezy! GL on the grow and I will be watching for sure! I started a Journal on my state medical M organization site because no one has every done a LED journal over there and I wanted to help introduce LED growing to growers who are clueless. Did you end up making the Ocean Forrest lighter or did you use it straight? I ask because I had issues until I started using at least 40% Perlite.

I also got super lucky and am growing a Polyploid plant, which means: 4 fan leaves and branches each node. Good luck again sleezy, I'm looking forward to seeing what these panels are capable of!

Thanks for joining the LED cause! I am sure your grow will be great! I will follow your journal bud! I wanted to make the Ocean Forest Lighter, but I had a bag and a half of FFOF left and decided to kill that first. Plus I wanted to get my grow up and running asap, so the next day after I landed I ran to the dispensary picked up the clones, sterilized everything and got it up and running.
