So adding a 2700K to a setup with a 6500K would help in veg stage? I thought 2700K was only required for flowering?Hell no its not useless..
While its not a 6500k or a 2700k bulb, the plant can deffinetely make use of that. You may want to add a 2700k and a 6500k bulb just so it gets all the spectrum, but that bulb will deff help.
just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for it??
It would help keep it warm if it was cold.would this lamp have any effect on the plant?
sorry, well at least you can send it back. Yep those $20 HPS look like they're going to be the newbie grow light of choice. Look on the bright side all the extra weed you'll get will more than pay for your restocking fee. I've got 4100 K & 3500 K bulbs I tried growing with before I found that chart. The difference in growth with 6500 K was shocking.shit. might as well get my money back from that one, and just get that 20 dollar hps. the 85 watt cfl cost me like 36 $ including shipping. called the company today, and they told me the bulb already shipped, so now i have to ship it back and they charge a 35% restocking fee....

NO that was a complete light with a weird fixture, they're long gone now, they died out on people prematurely too, a "too good to be true" dealYou talking about the ones from places like Lowes? I saw some hps there, but where do you get a cheap (but safe) ballast for them?
