5000k

I was wondering if I would be able to use 5000K cfl lights for veg in my closet grow. I'm not looking for anything spectacular being as it's my first grow ever, but i just need to know if it will work at least. I accidentally bought 3000k lights and the highest they have at the hardware store where I live is 5000k. Like I said, just need to know if it will work, not looking for an amazing yield. That's round two lol.

It will work, to a point. The plant will accept any light thrown at it - how well is the factor to look at. It will use the light and it will grow, but of course your always better with 6500k. Theres always the internet for lights if need be :)

You won't notice much of a difference between 5000k and 6500k, they're both nearly equally off from the sun's average 5800-5900k or so.. 3000k is just fine for flowering.
