Im about to start my pc grow I already got my flowering lights(cfl-2700k) and im looking for veg lights that are cfl around 26w and today I went to Home depot and some local hardware stores and all they have is 5000k and below. im looking for 6500k but no luck.. so is it worth to just buy the 5000k cfls? and if it matters im going to be growing a Auto Flowering strain(60day wonder:weed:)

I think 5000k would work, but if you could find the 6500k online or someplace just to be safe.. Should work out fine though man.

5000k Will work no problem, 5000k is full spectrum and 6500k in daylight spectrum. I personaly use both 5000k and 2700k, 50-50 split and I am very happy

if you have a Lowes go there, they have 6500k in a 4 pack of 23 or 24 watt bulbs, they are half the cost of what you'll pay getting them off line.

Also i wouldnt use the 5000k bulbs, i bought those at first since home depot lables them as "daylight" but when i saw that i got some off line (and found them at lowes where their daylights actually are 6500k) and i can say that i did notice a bit of a change in growth and plant appearance between the 5000k and 6500k

I was thinking about picking up the 5000k and then ordering some 6500k online a few days later because I would like to start now. Do you guys think switching it from 5000k to 6500k in a few days to a week is a good idea?

Stay away from anything from 3500-4500k This range is uselss to plant growth. 5000k is ok but 6500k is best. Try looking in home depot or lowes and look for the "daylight" "cool" or "cooler" also if you take the time and read the small print on the bottom of the bulb or back of the pack it will tell you there. Cool and cooler are normaly EG brand 5500k-6500k
