Hey ukfreak, that light should give you some nice coverage in that tent, looks like a 2x2'?

Just a heads up on the party cup. Looks like you used magic marker or something to black out a clear cup. May want to consider duct or electrical tape and then poke the holes through, you're going to get light hitting those roots with the marker setup, not good. Also, with all the holes in the side you should consider an auto drip system for watering, by the time you get a few weeks into the grow in that cup you'll have to water twice/day, it'll dry out quick. Good luck, waiting for my homegrown seeds to ripen before I pop some for the comp.

and yes its in a dr60 tent mate
LED's are great for small spaces, great coverage and no heat worries. I run a 200W (actual pull) LED in my 2x2' breeding tent and had to actually add some CFL's to get the temps UP - lol.

Good looking setup. What kind of LEDs does it use? I'm not finding specs on vipar's site.
As far as i can remember Vipar are only a reseller/distributor for these lights an put their own name on them, they are actually made by another company but i cant remember the name of it sorry

Yeah, most in that price range are Chinese manufactured, just curious about the diodes themselves- Cree, Phillips, etc. I'll keep researching.

I think it might have been Eurogrow that manufacture these lights if i remember correctly but cant be sure, saw someone mention something about it on one of the other LED threads

yea got the 500w and a 150 refund so not all bad looking for a blooming one that is just full red no veg any suggestions
TBh mate im not that knowledgeable on LED`s, im only just starting my own research into them but it seems a lot of LED companies seem to be moving over to white/red or all white LED`s for just flowering so may be an idea to pick the brains of the intelligent folk in one of the bigger LED help threads and ask for some info from people that weally know their stuff with LED`s an have been using em for a while y`know

My only experience of LED`s so far is the vipar 180W`s(100W true) my mate has just started using and he is still only midflower so far on his first ever grow lol so too soon yet to comment on those but they certainly veg well.

Currently he has a 180w in a 80x80x140 tent over an exo scrog an 2 blue pit clones that were vegged for a week or so, and the other one is in his veg cupboard, certainly seem to be doing VERY well for only 200W(true watts) tho it seems hence my interest in switching over to LED`s

Also just to be a nosy fucker what part of the UK you in?

Yup the Exodus cheese, spent 20 years smoking it but first ever time growing it ( ive got a couple flowering in my room as well as my mate), only growing it to sell tho as sick to the back teeth of smoking the stuff so now im moving into more fruity strains
Also along with the Exodus there is a whole list of UK clone onlies as well, currently have Exodus and Essex Gringo at mine an have access to Psychosis and Livers/blues as well and am waiting to hear back about getting cuts of both Juicy Fruit and Strawberries`n`cream also.

Ya never know, hang around long enough n i might even send ya 1 or 2 lol

current strain list- plants/cuts

Blue Pit, Exodus cheese, Essex Gringo, Blue kush, cheesebomb

Seeds-
Deep Purple querkle
Sour kush x Deep Blue
2 Guyanan Sativa (unknown strain, seeds were collected by a friend on holiday lol)
